Yeah the Griner thing is pure bullcrap. Not to be sexest here, but the speed of the NBA is WAYYYYYYY!!!! faster then womens college basketball. It's cute she can dunk here and there but the womens game tends to be more outside and played below the rim. NBA is too athletic for her to even be remotely effective. Shit bring back Antoine Walker some more, he'd be just as efficient at this state.

The only reason why she's any good is because of the lack of talent in women's college basketball. But I am kinda curious to see who would get more playing time if they were on the same team, Griner or Darko?

No way. I'd much rather pay to see Griner instead of Fatoine Walker.

So, looks like Kobe is done for the year...can't wait to hear all the talk about how Phil Jackson wouldn't have run him ragged in the last couple weeks like D'Antoni did.

I hope Kobe isn't going to retire after this season due to the injury, he is tooo good to just quit because of a injury. I want to at least see him some more in action. @berlin

Rough break for Kobe.

But a break I'll take for my Thunder as long as they keep that 1/2 game lead in the conference No Kobe means 5 games at most for the Thunder to finish them off.

Yea I was watching that game was a great match but real tough break for Kobe, doesnt deserve that after all the hard work hes put in recently to drag them into the playoffs. If it was anyone else at his age you would write them off coming back but not him.

Didn't think it would be this bad though

Apparently with all the post season games and Olympic games hes played the equivalent to 20 seasons worth of basketball. He shouldn't have been playing that many minutes a night, but its Kobe so its not like he'll allow himself to be benched (even for rest).

If you watch the game, you see the personal trainer screaming at D'Antoni after the first or second time (can't remember which) he injures the le before the actual tear.

So what are the odds D'Antoni comes back for another season if he gets swept in the playoffs? Has he brought enough good will with the 2nd half of the season or do they scratch this mess and hire a real coach?

Yea he has been playing too many minutes but D'Antoni isnt a strong enough character to make Kobe get a little rest, especially with the playoffs on the line.
I never got why they hired him in the first place to be honest, I can see them getting rid of him if they want to keep Dwight Howard around long term.

Still awful handling from D'Antoni. You're telling me Kobe couldn't be told you're sitting the last minute of quarters and TV time outs to get a few 2-4 minute breaks and get some water/gatorade. Every minute of rest helps. Hopefully this is D'Antoni's last gig. I really can't stand his kind of basketball

Man the Lee injury sucks for the Warriors...I hate the injury bug, Rose, Rondo, Kobe, Granger, Lou Williams, Gallinari, where does it stop? Like the Heat need any more help...

Didn't catch any of yesterdays games but have watched most of todays games on and off, except Thunder/Rockets which I will watch every minute of. My thoughts from the earlier games:
Pacers/Hawks-This series looks completely one sided. I like the way the Pacers play. I love the physicality and dudes hitting the floor. This looked like old school basketball to me. I could be wrong, but this game seemed really bad with traveling not being called. There were many just basic passes where the receiving player took a step or two before moving the ball again. Maybe I was seeing things, but it looked off. It really is a shame about Danny Granger not being here for this series. I'll say right now, IF and that is a big IF the Pacers can get away with this rough defense all postseason they WILL beat the Heat.
Lakers/Spurs- I really checked out for most of this game and just cleaned my apartment. This game was rough to watch for me. Too slow of a pace, lots of inside out basketball which is usually very fun for me to watch. Just not with these teams. With no Kobe, I want to see Dwight fall flat on his face and I truly cannot cheer for Popovich and the Spurs. Nothing to special seen this game, Spurs just look better. This Laker squad will go only as far as Pau can carry them by himself.
Bucks/Heat- Welp the NBA gets what they want here with Miami not having any challenge here. The first two games weren't littered with foul calls, and that goes against everything the Heat are. Bucks can look good in stretches but they rely way to much on jump shooting. Jennings would have to blow up every game to even stay close to the offici.....I mean the Heat.
Thunder/Rockets- Only the 2nd quarter now, but like I've said before the Thunder go from red hot to Can't Buy a Basket mode in seconds. I still expect a 5-6 game series tops cause I can't see this Rockets team going far. Too much live and die with the 3. Hopefully the rest of the game is interesting.
NO MORE INJURIES!!!!
