Anyone keeping up with the NBA this season? Some notes: - Heat riding a 27-game win streak, LeBron pretty much a lock for MVP.
- LARRY SANDERS!
- Jrue Holiday is a shoo in for Most Improved, despite great leaps made by Greivis Vasquez.
- John Wall's jump shot has come a long way -- let's just soak in the beauty of his 47/7/8/1/1/2TO game last night.
- Lakers in the playoffs? Jazz post-deadline free fall pretty much makes this a certainty.
- Anyone still dislike the Rudy Gay trade for the Grizzlies? No? Thought so.

Wolves are too injured to matter this year.
I like the squad (Rubio is a stud) but they need to get healthy. Getting Budinger back was a big help but not having Love has made this a throwaway season.
I think we are in the 7th spot for a draft pick. Right now hoping for Oladipo if we don't jump to a Top 3 pick.

I love Brandon Roy's game, so it was really sad to see that his comeback didn't work out. Oladipo would be a good fit, though.

- Heat are amazing but... are they peaking at the wrong time?
- Hornets Fan here, Ryan Anderson and Anthony Davis are nice. Not sure about this 3 game Win Streak but winning next two would be amazing: Clips/Hear.
- As you post that, Lakers on a 3 game skid and only 1 game ahead of Jazz (their Asst Coach, Brad Jones, is my former professor and Jerry Sloan's nephew).
- Rudy Gay has been declining for some time and doesn't space the floor well at all. Not to mention his bloated contract. Makes sense for all 3 teams involved.
- Back to draft, would love to see Ben McLemore or Otto Porter on this Hornets roster. Anyone want Eric Gordon?

OKC fan here, and it's hard to watch right now. I can't believe how little I expect from one of the top 3 teams in the league. KD has to work way to hard to get his, and Westbrick makes me pull me hair out.
-Can't stand the Heat, they're the Yankees of basketball now. -Nuggets have been fun to watch this year

The biggest news of all. Come mid April the BOG will decline the sell of the Kings to Seattle, and the Magoofs are forced to sell the Kings to the Sacramento group. Thus leaving the team with the best fans in the NBA where it belongs.

What a gem. How does Presti do it? I have to admit that I like what I've seen from Reggie, I just don't like the way Brooks runs the team. I'm sure he's a good coach but it just doesn't seem like he has what it takes to prepare them for major challenges. In the current NBA there is no reason at all to have to bigs in your starting lineup. Bring Perk off the bench and let Ibaka start at center and get Kevin Martin in the game as a starter. I hate the have to have a scorer as your 6th man, he takes longer to get into the rhythm of the game. I would die for a Jeff/Stan Van Gundy or Phil as our coach, help push KD to an even higher level

Honestly, I just don't see Scottie Brooks taking them to a title. They can out ability most of the West, but when it comes to teams that they don't match up well (Miami, Denver) I don't trust he can develop a game plan. I mean it's hard to watch them on a regular night sometimes, there is no offense in place. Everybody just clears out for isolations and hopes Durant or Westbrick makes a shot.

Boston fan here. I'm just getting ready to sit back and enjoy ten years of first-round bow outs. Too good for a lottery pick, too bad to contend.
Fuck.

Boston could still do a little damage if they get slightly healthy for the playoffs. For some unknown reason they play Miami very well and should have taken them out last season with the 3-2 series lead. Yeah after this season it'll be ugly, alot of Rondo dribbling around and 1 and done college kids. Good Luck

Are Rondo, Bradley, and Green enough to get them to the Playoffs in the East? I suppose maybe it is but I feel like they need more help (especially up front). I kind of feel like they won the Perkins/Green trade even though it looked a lot different a year ago.

I'm a Pacers fan. Really wish we could have traded Granger at the deadline, but he hasn't been healthy in so long, it was definitely a pipe dream.
Still, love the team though. We match up well with a lot of the teams in the league. Athletic wings, and bigs that can play hard down low.

I think they could make an interesting match-up for NYK or especially MIA. Plus they have JORDAN CRAWFORD, so... The West, on the other hand, is not weak. I'm pretty sure the 3rd seed will win 55 games. That's incredible.

Yeah the West is crazy.
How long has the East been the JV conference - since Jordan played?

Anyone else see the Mavericks coming on strong? Kinda scary with what they COULD do.
For you Advanced Stats guys... Elton Brand was #1 in NBA in defending Post Up Scoring Opportunities last season.

And with a guy like Rondo, they'll ALWAYS be in the playoffs, though they'll be stuck in that weird no-man's land that teams like Milwaukee and Atlanta and Indiana have been stuck in, where they're not even close to being legitimate contenders, but they aren't bad enough to rebuild through the lottery. And free agents don't go to Boston. They just don't.

Scary thought being thought of as another Milwaukee or Atlanta. I'd rather eat the barrel of a shotgun :/

Plus, aren't the Celtics basically trying to give Rondo away before the deadline each and every year?

Come on, you don't want to build around a "superstar" with almost no offensive game and will have no weapons to pass too once Pierce and Garnett hang em' up?

Plus, aren't the Celtics basically trying to give Rondo away before the deadline each and every year? Rondo can win games on his own just by getting other people involved. That being said, I didn't say they'd be a GOOD playoff team. 8th seed in the East can still be sub-.500, which is the worst of both worlds - no lottery pick, and no chance of winning. Rondo is my favorite player to watch, hands down. He does stuff that's just stupid. But even as a diehard Rondo apologist I'm having a hard time seeing this team succeed with him as a leader. If I had my way, I'd trade him for rookies and picks, suffer through a season with Jeff Green and Avery Bradley, and then study Sam Presti's methods long and hard. Of course, then we'd end up trading Green back for Perkins, so maybe not.
