Too many injuries, i think 82 games are too demanding for an athlete's body. I mean, some teams play each other 3 times in a season. NBA should have each team play each other twice per season. roughly 60 games per season. If they expand the league, it would increase the games obviously. What if the league expands now? Will we get 90 game season? No player will be able to handle the whole season. it will stop when the nba regular season is less than 82 games

Isnt he in the DLeague? He's been in the DLeague for a few seasons. And because he went bankrupt, he's living in hotel rooms lol I've seen Antoine Walker recently. The only thing he's efficient at is eating. Yeah. He WAS in the D-League a few years back. Here's a GREAT article about him via SI: sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1195981/I never liked him. I hated him, actually. I was pissed when he snagged a ring via Miami in 2006. You feel for him a bit after that article, though. I mean, I don't feel bad for heckling him mercilessly when he played the Skyforce a few years back. But. You know. 90 million dollars, he can handle a few words.

Out of the loop in this thread but I am gonna say this expecting backlash for now...
I could see the Knicks in the finals. Remind me of the 2011 Mavericks but better (not just Chandler/Kidd).

They're going to lose whenever Amar'e comes back.

They're going to lose whenever Amar'e comes back. Can't agree with you more. Knicks play their best ball when Amar'e is out. He doesn't fit their style of play enough.

It saddens me to say this because Boston is my next favorite team behind OKC, but ANYBODY vs. Boston right now would look good. Call me when Melo beats a team that isn't crippled and old.

I have a feeling you won't like Boston for long.. Once Pierce and KG retire, that roster will be lackluster.

Sullinger looks pretty good and Bradley's a piece to keep. Crawford and Lee are also rotational players on playoff teams. They could still challenge for that 8th spot when Pierce/KG retire, although getting massacred by Miami every year isn't the best place to be.

With Boston, San Antonio, Dallas, and LA getting old Im excited to see some new blood here in the next few seasons. Not gonna lie SA is the only team out of those I've ever somewhat liked, but they play some boring basketball.

Will we get 90 game season? No player will be able to handle the whole season. it will stop when the nba regular season is less than 82 games The world trend is actually to expand everything...in europe, take any sport, basketball, soccer, handball, every year theres more and more euroleague games, and after that, euro championships, world championships...the "smaller sports like handball and waterpolo have a national team championship every year! many games crammed up in a tight schedule, where brutal injuries happen. Euroleague basketball expanded last season, euro expanded etc..why? M O N E Y. Theres a larger and larger talk of combining nba and euro teams into a some sort of a league. Rules are also adjuested year by year to make it more similar, so that 5-6 years from now something like this can happen, in an yet ( at least publicly) undisclosed way. Mark my words. There wont be a sport where a league, or a national championship cuts the number of games. No way in hell...Those guys in suits, they dont care about acls, separated shoulders, broken ankles, chronic wear and tear, even heart attack at the soccer fields..Money runs the world now. And it aint gonna change.

From coach to personell to players ( btw noone is dissing Woodson, Melo and the other guys )theres no freaking way the Knicks are better then the championship Mavs...The stuff they did basketball, IQ, matchup, strategy wise to outsmart other more athletic and on paper better teams..That cant be compared to the Knicks who havent done nothing yet.

Cheap fucking play on Westbrook in game 2, and now a torn meniscus has him out indefinitely. I don't even know if my Thunder can finish off Houston at this point. I LOVE me some Kevin Durant, but I don't know if he's ready to say I'm taking 30+ shots a game and carrying this team. FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boston was crushed on the glass after they traded Perkins and missed out on another championship. OKC missed out on having a 3rd scorer that's not Kevin Martin after ditching James Harden.

This is what Durant needs. He doesn't want to be number 2 anymore? Well now you have to see what it's like to be on a team where your PG doesnt take 20+ shots with less then 4 assists a game. He needs to step up and turn it on. Evolve his game like great players do. Hes been getting more efficient but his game hasn't changed much. With that said I'm a huge Durant fan but I have a strong dislike for Westbrook. His play should be revolved around Durant not the other way around. I think Westbrook for Rondo would be an interesting scenario. Anyways it's not like they were gonna give the Heat any real problems after letting Harden go.

I might be crazy for saying this, but I don't think OKC will take too much of a step back without Westbrook. Reggie Jackson is really good and somehow Fisher always steps it up for playoff time. If Kevin Martin can score well off the bench, I'll still pick OKC to come out of the west. However, this makes that Clippers-Grizzlies matchup much more intriguing.

theres no way teams, and by that I mean any team, wont exploit Fisher if hes logging more minutes. Im a coach, and Im really trying to look more and more at rotations, the way teams attack etc...and he basically murdered OKC last year in the finals, both offensively and defensively. combined with the fact that Brooks is stubborn with Perkins, I think the OKC dont have a shot at the title. Now we all see how bad Presti mishandled the Harden situation. So dont call Beverly, it wasnt a cheap shot. Fuck you, Sam Presti!

I think Westbrook for Rondo would be an interesting scenario. Anyways it's not like they were gonna give the Heat any real problems after letting Harden go. I've watched EVERY televised OKC game this year. Durant has improved in way more areas then he gets credit for. Scoring, if possible he is more efficient. Rebounding is up, his passing has improved greatly. I think some of the best they played in game 2 was when Westbrick went to the bench with two fouls and most of the offense ran with him bringing the ball up the court. It could just be the matchup, but as long as he isn't turning the ball over him being the guy RUNNING the pick and roll is unguardable this series. Really the only area of his game that needs improvement right now is his ball security. He has tendencies to turn the ball over more then he should. He should develop more of a down low game but I think as he ages you'll see that. As far as the Beverly play goes, the PG calling the timeout over the timeline happens every game and you almost never see the guy go in that hard on them. It was a dirty play in my eyes. He had no shot at the ball and just ran into him. I HATE Russell Westbrook, I think he's overrated as they come but I don't want to see a guy gone at like that. If he is going in for a dunk and you're making a hard foul play I can live with that but in a situation like this I hate it. I still think OKC can make it to the finals. Reggie Jackson is very good, I don't know if he is 30+ minutes per game good but I think having KD bring the ball up the court and run more of the offense will be fine. We'll probably see K. Martin get some extra minutes and hopefully earn his paycheck. I think they can make it to the Finals with this lineup without WB. Unfortunately the super friends who couldn't win one alone will still be too much. There is nothing that would make me happier then seeing KD take over right now and push them to a title WITHOUT WB. Just to show WB that he isn't the cog that makes this machine. Plus seeing the Superfriends lose to one guy would be epic for the LeBron meltdown. A guy can hope, but I am realistic. --- Edit- Also after rereading Moscows post. I am in the vast minority that didn't care about the Harden deal. When he wasn't willing to take the slightly less money to stay there the way Durant (Who shouldn't have to take less money from anyone) WB and Ibaka he was done to me. He didn't make any difference in the finals last year by chucking up bricks all over the place. I think if Scott Brooks was a better coach he could have gotten just as much out of Kevin Martin. Harden is just the next example of any guy getting 29 shots a game will get numbers. He isn't a great assist PG and he gambles too much on the steal. On any roster other then this Rockets team he wouldn't fit the way he does other then maybe GS. The problem is that everybody thinks they were going to beat the Heat with Harden and they are dumb. This was a great deal for OKC. Not sure anybody could have given them more, Kevin Martin statistically was about as good as harden but we also received a good young Jeremy Lamb and 2 1st round picks. We draft GREAT, I think we can compete as is and have our 3 locked up long term and will have all kinds of youth coming in along with Lamb, Perry, and Jackson. This wasn't a deal made for this season, this was a small market style team staying competitive for more then a small window.

As hard as it must be for OKC to lose Westbrook, but this has turned into the perfect situation for Durant to show that his capable of carrying this team on his own back.

Though if they advance into the 2nd round I can't see them managing to get past the Grizzlies (if they overcome the Clippers)
