I miss having TV But I did watch all seven seasons of Psych on Netflix, as well as all of Bobs Burgers, Scrubs (again), Archer as well as restarting How I met Your Mother so maybe I need TV to take me away from all of this netflix stuff?

The only real shows I've been obsessed with lately have been Sherlock and House of Cards. I watched the entire 3 seasons of Sherlock in a two day span. Too bad it'll be like 2 years before the next season is released.

Ugh True Blood. I watched the first 3 or so seasons on DVD with my wife but just walked away (both of us) during the 4th season when they added witches or whatever nonsense went into the show.

At the risk of being mocked by someone ignorant - anyone watch Mindy Project?
It's pretty hilarious. Great cast and guest appearances.

Ugh, of all the new shows coming out, Scorpion is the one you are excited to check out? If ever there was a show that screams mid-season cancellation, it is Scorpion. The Blacklist and Sleepy Hollow are back tonight, Under the Dome has its season (series?) finale for those of us dumb enough to still be watching, plus Gotham premieres...good night to have a DVR. Throw in its the post-Night of Champions Raw, and lots to watch tonight.

Thoughts on Gotham? Looks like it'll be a solid show but nothing spectacular. I saw someone mention on another forum how they thought it was laughably bad how they shoehorned all the batman villains into the story. I don't know much about Batman or DC as a whole so it may have been accurate but it did seem weird that we saw probably half a dozen different batman villians in episode 1.

I enjoyed it but thought it was a bit odd. Not sure what they are trying to accomplish or what audience they want. It could be a long running show or flame season one based on what I saw. Need to see more I guess.
I did enjoy Scorpion though, anyone watch that?

I liked Gotham.
I wanted to see all of their characters up front. I think it's cool to hold out the Joker and to have Catwoman tag along. It's kind of like Heroes and that's not always a bad thing when it comes to the look and feel of a comic.
Joker is one of Falcone's henchmen initially, right?
The Penguin stuff is kind of interesting too. Not sure how long Jada is with the show.

Currently watching Gotham. I don't have an issue with the villains being tied in so long as their stories are accurate.
Anyone know if this series is based of a Batman prequel type thing? Not sure if any Gotham pre-Batman writing was ever done

I thought about that but I am not so sure. It could be but he seemed more bungling than anything.
Not sure there has been much Gotham creation story out there but I wouldn't be the guy to ask either.

Joker is one of Falcone's henchmen initially, right? This much I do know about DC. There is no "official" backstory on the Joker with most preferring to leave that as part of the mystery of the character. They did touch on a potential backstory in a story called the Killing Joke but I don't believe he was connected to Falcone. But yeah there has never been an official telling of Joker's backstory. A quote from the Joker character: "Sometimes I remember it one way, sometimes another ... if I'm going to have a past, I prefer it to be multiple choice!"

Maybe I was thinking of Tim Burton's BATMAN. Wasn't the Joker the henchman of a crimeboss and then took over his empire? I kind of figured thats where they were going here.
Maybe not.
