So I watched the Austin Show Podcast that was on the network with Vince and it was really good. I loved that Vince kept bringing up that he's not out of touch...of course you are! Austin at least didn't phone it in with shitty questions to not push Vince

Hello new guy, yeah they desperately need some real competition. They are completely out of touch and you could just see it in Vinces face during the interview.

That's the scary part about the interview. Austin asked him straight up about why the ball was dropped with Cesaro and Vince had no idea how to even answer it. They only guys he could name for the future and main event guys were Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns. Idiot

reigns is a main eventer but as of the other 2, i see them a wasted talent and a mid card talent.

I'd argue that they both are more likely to be long time main eventers. Rollins has the in ring ability and has blossomed as a top heel. Reigns only has the look. He's shit on the mic, and barely bad in the ring. I'm not sure Ambrose gets any higher then Dolph Ziggler in the long run

So....CM Punk has signed with UFC to compete in its 185 pd division. Not sure how I feel about this, I assume he's going to get murdered. I wouldn't assume you can go into UFC already frail from a 10+ yr wrestling career and stand much of a chance. Lashley and Brock were both monsters so at least size wise they are legit. Oh well, it isn't like he was ever coming back to wrestling, dabble in this and then he can go back into hiding for good.

It's smart for him and Dana White...you take a guy who is gonna be green as grass at MMA (unlike say Brock was) but is HUGE in the news right now. I mean, I wasn't following my twitter last night and I saw that CM Punk signed with the UFC on Sportscenter...it's the kind of publicity the UFC needs and it lets Punk stick it to WWE a bit. Will he be any good at it? Who knows...I don't think it matters. It was about striking while the iron was hot publicity wise...even Dana White said Punk isn't going to be fighting for titles or anything, just facing other rookies and shit. Put him up against a couple of tomato cans, milk the buyrates, then let Punk move on to whatever he wants to do next with his life.

Oh I agree fully with all of that. Punk is just there to make himself and UFC a boatload of money. It's as simple as that. Punk brings some much needed mainstream attention to UFC that isn't negative. Plus he's a brand that you don't need to worry going out and doing steroids, getting drunk and beating women kind of nonsense

So, I just started watching WWE after probably a 10-12 year hiatus (back when Kurt Angle laid the smackdown to clowns like The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kane and Undertaker). I especially love the Youtube WWE channel which shows the highlights to "low-tier" (mid-card) fights, since I don't have 2 hours to donate to each segment.
Anyways, my first contribution to this thread: Roman Reigns, the man, the legend...he's about to TAKE OVER! I think, partly, that male fans of WWE don't like him because he poses a threat to them? How, you say? Well, considering if a WWE fan took his girl to an event and Roman Reigns saw what he liked, how long would it take for her to throw everything away for one night of passionate love-making that would transcend what we thought was possible? All the while, the male fan would turn beet red but realize he can't do anything to stop the iconic moment. Seriously, spend a couple minutes or an hour thinking about how amazing the night would be...
Anyways, the combination of Reigns' look and broody demeanor is going to catapault him to the top over guys who would seemingly deserve the limelight: Rollins and Ambrose. To be honest, I can't see Ambrose ever becoming a contender for the championship. I know everyone's really impressed by Rollins, but personally, I don't see anything special (and the Curbstomp finisher - seriously?) outside of his ability to draw the ire of the fans. With Reigns, I see a guy who's going to become at worst, a Batista level competitor and I see his potential as being this generation's John Cena. Hate him all you want, but Cena's done a great job carrying a lackluster roster for the past decade.

I'm ignoring the middle paragraph where you imagine Reign's lovemaking prowess...is this really what the casual fan thinks? That Rollins and Ambrose are mid-card guys and Reigns is the real deal because of their look??? No wonder Vince is running things the way he is...

Yeah, Rollins is a star in the making. I'd rank him 2nd in the 3 in talking, 1st in ring (by far) and 2nd in charisma (unless you count standing around wet as being charismatic) but I don't see Ambrose getting above Rollins, at least not anytime soon

I think Seth is probably the best overall heel that WWE has had since punk's straight edged bit with the whole crew... they badly need a new face and I'm not seeing where they get it. I love the product down in NXT but i dont see any of them jumping up to stuperstar level any time soon. mostly down there is BARON CORBAN

I re-signed up for the Network last night...I'm weak.
There are actually some pretty decent documentaries available now. Tons of old content is being added, lots of Nitros and Raws, Saturday Night Main Event is up, and ECW is going up as well. If you are a fan of, you know, not watching the current product, the Network is a great place to spend $9.99.

The archived content has improved, NXT is worth watching, and the occasional decent PPV makes me okay with the price tag. I'm a big NXT fan, I always wanted to watch the development when it was FCW but it wasn't possible. The NXT roster gets used so much better in my opinion. I mean look at the difference in the women's wrestling on the main roster and NXT. Natayla vs. Charlotte on RAW was pointless filler. Natayla vs. Charlotte on the first Takeover is a pretty good match.

I just don't want to get invested in someone in the minor leagues when I know they are going to be ruined and tossed aside when they get to the majors.
