GUYS shhhhhhhh here's a little secret the WWE DOESN'T WANT YOU TO KNOW... (they both sucked. a lot.) They did try to hide that secret when they brought them back, PUT THE TAG TITLES ON THEM FOR MONTHS AFTER THEY'D BEEN AWAY FOR 10 YEARS, then fed them to the Shield at WM. How many times a match did JBL say that Billy Gunn had found the fountain of youth (ie HGH)?

OMG Night of Champions, right? Can you believe that finish?
And now with Rock as champion and the unification of the Intercontinental Title and US Title, does anyone else think that it was more than a little fishy to see Million Dollar Man in attendance?
Rumor is that he's going to challenge Cesaro in a Intercontinental/US title for Million Dollar Title match.
LOL at AJ Lee getting her head shaved!

WWE had their third quarter earnings presser today...in it, they announced they have a whooping 731k subscribers (so like 50k more even though they just expanded into 100+ new countries), they are cutting out the 6 month commitment on subscriptions, making it $9.99 a month with no cancellation fee, and they are giving November away for free to new subscribers.
1. How desperate are they? 2. How much longer is the Network going to last?

Just got an email from WWE that they are doing away with the 6 month commitment and will do their subscriptions on a month to month basis and you can cancel at anytime. I like enough of the content that I'd always be willing to do the six month commitment but for those on the fence about getting it, you really have nothing to lose since you can cancel at any time.
EDIT: Berlin beat me to it : )

Yeah, I was going to jump on at Royal Rumble for the $12.99 no commitment price, then cancel, go back for Wrestlemania, then cancel again...now I'll get to do it for $9.99.
...and that's what many people will do now. Pick and choose the months they want (like they used to do with PPVs), and jump off and on the Network. All WWE did was cannabilize their PPV business that was netting $60 a pop to get $10 instead...this is going to be be an epic failure.

I read that out of the 280k new subs that only like 23k were the $13 billed monthly variety. That doesn't bode well for them if they had planned on raising the price to try and make up some dollars. Gonna get back in and watch as much as I can before they finally pull the plug on this project XFL style.

Agreed, I think they really overshot their estimates of subscription count. It's too late to go back to the traditional PPV model (and even if they did, I think those PPV companies would insist on a bigger cut of the pie). Sink or swim now. They really need more compelling content than what's on their now. Other than some of their documentaries like Monday Night Wars and their PPV's, I really don't have a reason to watch the Network. You would think they could at least put Raw/Smackdown next day replays on the fucking thing.

Lot of people saying they want the Raw/Smackdown replays next day...and that won't happen anytime soon because WWE gave those rights away in the last round of negotiations for that mediocre TV deal they signed. They've overestimated every step of the way this year, and now they are paying the price.

Against my better judgement, I resubscribed to the WWE Network. Checked out the recent Suervivor Series and while it was okay I can't help but wonder how they thought generic Sting music was any good. While he didn't look terrible, he looks hella old (I know he's 55).
I forgot how nice it is to have the live stream just for something to pop on for a few minutes while I dick around on the PC.
Time to catch up on 2 months worth of NXT somehow

That was the first thing I did...for three episodes, and realized they are mostly the same 30 minutes of new content spliced with previous DVD content, adding in GO DX!

Not yet, I think I caught the end of one or it may have been a doc cause they were talking about the WWE version of the NWO and how it was played out and not as awesome and new like WCW (Even though it was ripped off from Japan...)
I did watch the HHH/HBK Rivalries thing, that was pretty good although not a ton of new stuff that hasn't been covered in the like 5 HBK DVDS prior

CM Punk was fired from WWE on his wedding day?
For what?

CM Punk was fired from WWE on his wedding day? For what? It was for breach of contract I believe. Plus I think it was more coincidence that it was on his wedding day since it was a big hush hush thing when he got married, but maybe somebody upstairs knew about it.

He walked out after the Royal Rumble while still under contract.

So...how is this still not seen as racist? I feel like when they gather together that they're just going to start throwing dice with the mannerisms they have.
Plus they were way better as a group of angry black guys that were sick of being held down. We all know that's where this is going before the flame out right? Or they just add R-Truth and it's over before it starts.
Weird cause when Cody went all Stardust he added all kinds of new moves and changed the way he maneuvered. These guys changed nothing about their style or movesets, just dressed up as goofy guys with big stupid smiles.

You guys should listen to the Colt Cabana podcast with CM Punk it should be on youtube. Very interesting. Also, the wedding day firing was more of a dick move because Punk was asking about his royalties.

Cabana usually is pretty entertaining the times I've listened before The thing I liked about it was that it just came across as two friends talking. I've never listened to Cabana before so I was impressed. Plus it is just Punk explaining what happened. Colt just let him talk and didn't ask question, which made it feel less like an interview. I heard the interview recapped somewhere else and the person explaining it made it sound super bitter. But when you listen to it, it is the complete opposite.

Yeah if you get time it's worth checking some of his older stuff most of the interviews seemed pretty relaxed and fun

Yeah if you get time it's worth checking some of his older stuff most of the interviews seemed pretty relaxed and fun agreed he's one of my favorite wrestling podcast. Austin's probably keeps me most entertained but his is probably second. The Punk interview was quality and if you believe everything Punk says it sheds a lot of light on how screwed up WWE is behind the scenes. There is a part two coming out this week which will be a q&a so that should be fun too.
