Wow, people still play Black Ops 2? Wasn't that like 3 Call of Duties ago?

There's a reason Comrade. It has an amazing Zombies experience (though the best is still black ops 1). Also i feel like the multiplayer here was actually better than ghosts (except maybe the knifing bit). What do COD do you play?

Not true...the Dreamcast actually had a pretty decent launch selection if I remember correctly. Yep Dreamcast had the best overall launch lineup that I can remember. Here is a list of the 23 DC Launch Titles: Out of those 23, Soul Caliber, House of the Dead 2, Armada (fucking rad!) all hold up incredibly well throughout the life of the system. The rest were only okay at best. NFL2k was great looking but I don't think it had an owner mode in it. The deep ball worked way too well so the game was busted. Powerstone was aight right away but Powerstone 2 is epic and crushes the first. Same for Marvel v Capcom. First one good but the 2nd was WAY better. Not a bad line up of games. Probably a strong launch considering any of the games held up long term let alone 3 (in my opinion). I love the DC. Still have one and run it once in a while.

I went all out at the launch of this system along with Final Fantasy 9 that came out the same day. I picked up: Ready 2 Rumble - Fun, but got old quick nothing exciting. Sonic Adventure - Loved this game, up there for favorite Sonic game and easily in my top 3 for the system. NFL 2K - I'm ready to fight people, but I never enjoyed the 2k football franchise. The players always felt like they were moving with virtual sticks in their asses. I guess I was just too used to EA Madden. I don't remember if I bought these others or just played/rented them: Blue Stinger - I don't remember much about it anymore but thought I enjoyed it at the time Power Stone - I didn't really appreciate it much at the time, but that is mainly due to my lack of multiplayer, not sure this is as much fun solo as a MK or SF NFL Blitz 2000 - Eh, I used to play a ton of Blitz in the arcade so maybe it just felt done to me Between Sonic, 2K (just for next gen graphics before PS2) and FF9 (PS1) I was a happy camper

For Fun, here is the PS2 Launch as well:
In comparison, at the time I really enjoyed the lineup but they don't hold up the way the DC lineup did. I picked up Orphen, Evergrace, Unreal, Madden (holy crap at the time!), and either SF Ex3 or R2R2 can't recall. I did play most of this launch lineup over the 1st year though. I miss the old days...

Comrades....you lucky bastards....Most North Americans and Europeans do not realize this but where i am from, there is NO launch year, there is no set platform for official release. Piracy is the LAW. If you do not follow that then you wait for a very expensive second hand copy to make it way to you. Even though I have had quite a few new consoles in their release years, the games that we got would be limited so that first year always really sucked.
For the N64 I had only 2 games for soo long Mario 64 and pilot wings 64 (this is mainly my fault as i got a PAL N64 from Australia, at the time i didn't realize how important that was...fucking region locks).
For the Gamecube i had better luck and got Driven, Rouge Squadron, Super Monkey Ball and luigis mansion, that was actually a good combination of multiplayer and single player there to keep me occupied for the year (even though the GC had the least launch mario titles).
Even though i played SOOO many PS2 games (I played more than you can imagine kinda the Perks of Piracy you know) but at launch it was quite a snooze fest for me with only ready to rumble... yeah it got old sooo fast. The original XBOX i had followed a similar path as that of PS2 (the piracy in this case was really unexpected) the lone launch title i had for this game was HALO.
Its during the launch of the last generation that i realized that launch years are worthless, its nothing more than an expensive way to embrace the new generation also it gives NO time to test the waters. While i maybe called an Xbot, nothing could be further from the truth I have merely tried more than things and eventually settled on the one with the most piracy (360 huehuehuehue). Oh and Happy New Year Comrades.
