I didn't even catch that Game of Thrones (Telltale Games) Episode 1 came out this past Tuesday. Immediately bought the season pass $25 for all 6 episodes and can't wait to play this later today! I'll share my thoughts later on that one. Just finished up my rental of WWE 2k15 and I was even more unimpressed then I expected to be. Pretty, kind of. The wrestlers all look kind of glossy, even cartoony in a way and some just look downright awful. Creator is pretty decent, but I feel like they had less in this years version then previous installments. The 2K Showcase mode was decent fun to relive two of the better story-arcs in the last 10 years in Cena/Punk 2011-2012 and HBK/HHH from 2002. I kind of wish there was more of this though, but both just remind you how bad the current product is and maybe they didn't want to remind us of that. However since previous versions usually offered up to 5 stories I can't help but feel they just phoned it in after the two. WWE Universe is what it's always been as far as I can tell, and the thing that had potential was the WWE Career mode where you make you guy and start him off in NXT and basically just have matches until you move up to the main roster. You run into legends here and there that will offer you a challenge, but for the most part this is a long boring mode of pick between two guys to fight and get SP (to upgrade) and VC (to buy movesets/skills) until you eventually reach your retirement or like me just get bored and send it back to Gamefly. Glad I didn't pick up WWE 2K15 then...was on my list on Black Friday, but when I didn't upgrade to the Xbox One, I wasn't sure I wasnted to get the PS3 version of it and held off...sounds like I didn't miss anything.

I got it in the mail from Gamefly on Monday and so far haven't been impressed. I took a year off with 2k14 but I can say that I had more fun with '13 than this one. I'll probably give it a few more days then it's back in the mail for something different.

Big gripe is how often it feels like you have to be in the right spot at the right time to even lock up with an opponent. Otherwise it's just empty inputs which are stupid.

I love madden to death and I'm a huge Xbox gamer, ps4 is trash I suppose one could look that way, if one had his head under a rock for the past year and ignored that giant lead the PS4 has on the Xbox1. But then again, I buy my system to play games and not watch TV through it so what do I know

Lame comeback, typical xbot. Actually, Microsoft was hacked early in the life of the Xbox 360 but Xbox Live wasn't the big thing it later became. Also, Xbox Live was just Ddos attacked like 3 days ago Anyways, I don't give any shits about online hacking. Doesn't stop me from playing games since I don't bother with multiplayer games.

Multiplayer games should be played against people in the same room. It's the best way to talk trash.

IAWTP
I'm cool with co-op with multiplayer such as Destiny (for the first 20 hours until the boredom sets in) or Far Cry 4. Otherwise I'm all for on the couch co-op.

So being the Street Fighter fan that I am I'm stoked at the news today that SF5 is going to be PS4 and PC exclusive. Now I get to wait for a fight stick release so I can play this and Injustice the right way.

Well went ahead with the best buy deal and grabbed Dragon Age, Assassins Creed Unity and GTA 5 (played on PS3 but oh well).
Also was super excited for the free EA games over the weekend for the 20th anniversary Sony thing. I'd really wanted Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare so free is awesome!
Finally made my weekend when they announced the PS4 port of Final Fantasy 7. I believe since this is hitting PS4 that it not only will have the upscaling they promised, but trophy support. I may never play another game again after this hits and ruins every current game going forward for me.

Ah more deals were to be had today My local KMart had a bunch of games on sale super cheap so I got Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 for $4.99, and Knack (PS4) for $9.99. I've played them both before but always wanted to go back to Knack, and my wife wanted to return to LoS2 so all in all not a bad little haul for $15 bucks.

Hey!! A video game thread, neat. Any FGC guys out here? Im mainly into fighting games like mortal kombat and street fighter and would love to get a few games in. I play COD a little bit mainly just Blackops 2 cause i like to alternate to zombies if multiplayer is getting monotonous. I am on the 360 and my nick is ShinSilentium. Hit me up i actually play alot more than just the games i put here.

Played the Telltale Games: Game of Thrones the other night finally. Gotta say I'm not sure how I feel about it. It starts off right along the events of the Red Wedding and you play as different members of the Forresters who served the Starks until they are all murdered. It was the usual TT adventure game, but I think that when you take a game that usually has very little action going on and you make it even more talky and wordy it's a little rough. However my wife is a huge Game of Thrones fan and she loved it. So if you enjoy the books and know about all the different groups you should enjoy it more then me. To me it was just ok. A solid 7/10 for me

Battleheart Legacy on iOS is pretty great.
It's like Diablo if SEGA made it.

I just finished a few of my digital games I've been stockpiling from Playstation Plus for the last year since I've been curled up on the couch.
Steamworld Dig (Available on PS4, Vita, WiiU, 3DS, PC)
I wasn't expecting much when I booted this up, but holy hell it was fun. You play as a robot who gets a deed from his uncle in which you go to check out. You solve puzzles as you dig deeper and deeper into the mine as you upgrade pick-axes and get cool other drilling tools to use. It was alot of fun, an old school feeling 2D style game with a little charm to it. It got a 82 on Metacritic, I'd give it a solid 7.5/10 myself.
Child of Light (on all consoles)
I'm probably 70% done with this one, and I think I expected more then what this game had to offer. It has a beautiful art style and it offers your usual little girl falls ill into a dark world storyline that took way longer to start getting good then it should have. It is told alot in rhymes and the dialog is fun for a goofy little game. It is a basic side scroller where the battles play out more RPG style with an ATB and the characters can develop along the grid path you choose (it's not super deep). I bought this one for 8 bucks I think a while back so it isn't a super big investment. Solid game, nothing to write home about. 6.5/10
Sportsfriends (PS4/PS3/PC)
Ugh, This was free for Plus members a few months back and had an easy trophy list so I decided to tackle it. I felt like I was sent back in time to my Atari 2600 days...that's not a compliment. This is generally the reason I am so against Kickstarter for people to make video games with. This shit in 2014 is embarrassing for the industry in a whole. This game is designed as a 2-4 player local co-op game with quick silly minigames (not like Wario Ware cause that's good). It's not good, don't ever waste your time... 1/10...fucking indie games...
I need to free up room on my PS4 for the new games I picked up so hence the purge of this older digital junk. So if you want a fun little 6 hour game with replay value Steamworld Dig is a blast, otherwise eh

Comrade Indiana, I have wanted child of light for a little while but i didn't know the battles played out in rpg style. I am a huge plat former fan and adding rpg elements into this formula sort of feels lazy. Anyone remember Contra, the battles in that would eventually start warping the screen with you avoiding things for dear life, now that's real platforming. Steamworld dig sounds an awful lot like Spelunky if so i should give that a shot. Thank you for the reviews Comrade.

Yeah Spelunky is exactly what I thought about Steamworld Dig, minus the insane difficulty that Spelunky seemed to throw at me. I finished Child of Light last night, and I did enjoy it. It just felt kind of weird to mix the platform adventuring with some very basic RPG elements.
