Yes iPad only because you need the screen space but it's fucking awesome. I've got three ships unlocked (out of 10?) and they each have three layouts (of which I have 5 total) and each variation plays differently and has different abilities. Right now I don't have shields but I can cloak. You can hire different crew who have their own specialties and unlock additional options during game play (as your ship upgrades do too) but you die a lot. It's hard but rewarding. Worth it. I mostly just play Kingdom Rush. If Isaac isn't hogging the iPad, that is.

I've been playing the shit out of an iOS game called Faster Than Light (FTL) which I hear is also a PC game. It's basically Star Trek in a video game (I'm not a trekkie but an fascinated by space travel/ship battles and power ups). You make decisions all along the way that could get you killed or reap benefits. Seriously a fun game. Graphics are basically 16-bit but you know me I love text based simulators so I can easily get around that. Anyone else play it? Sounds like something I'll be downloading when I get home...

Yeah, I torrented it a couple of days ago. Still haven't gotten into it though.

I'll play FTL when the price of the iPad game drops... I'll play it when my backlog drops to somewhere near the 200 range....maybe but probably not. However I may grab the Golf Club on the PS4 store. It doesn't have the bells and whistles that Tiger does, but it's supposed to be the best golf sim out there and the course creation tools are nuts I guess. It would be cool to see some courses from places I've lived recreated on here, but $35 bucks is alot for a DLC only game to me.

It's rough for any of the next gen systems so far. Destiny is supposed to be amazing (I'm not completely sold on it). I enjoyed Infamous Second Son, and Wolfenstein The New Order was really good (my game of the year so far). I haven't played Watch Dogs yet, but I've heard it's comparable to Assassins Creed with more multiplayer kind of things thrown into the game. There is a fair amount of digital titles to mess with. Outlast is a good survival horror game. Minecraft just came out for it as well.

Ok, I've got a question for the "next gen" console guys out there...I've always been a Playstation guy, and was going to finally upgrade to the PS4 next month with whatever the best Black Friday deal was. With today's announcement that the X-Box One is cutting it's price though, I'm questioning myself. With the diminishing number of exclusive titles out there, is either system leaps or bounds better? Is the catalog? Or will Sony likely do a price drop to compete, making this a moot point?

There aren't many exclusives anymore but Sony always gets the JRPGS that Microsoft isn't willing to bring over to them. Sony also has the advantage that most developers are designing the games on their system and porting over to the Xbox (which was the other way around last gen) and while little can make a big difference in the quality while playing. I'd imagine you'll see a PS4 price cut right before the end of November in the way of a bundle with a game or two like they did most years of the PS3 life cycle.

Figured I'd bump this for November.
Just finished Far Cry 4 and it was awesome. It really isn't significantly different then Far Cry 3 was but the little additions make a very good game in 3 just a bit better with 4. The only gripe I have is that the ending just feels kind of "meh" compared to the rest of the game. Definitely one of the better games I've played this year.
Earlier in the month I got The Walking Dead Season 1 and 2 along with The Wolf Among us on PS4 during Targets Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale and have been going through them again. Also a set of games that everybody should enjoy. They are just your basic adventure non action game but fantastic writing and character development in the series.

So I just bought Tales from the Borderlands Season Pass on Tuesday and played yesterday. Anybody who has played and enjoyed Borderlands should get alot of enjoyment out of this title. I like all Telltale games titles and this is up at the top for their games. Unique characters for you to play as and the promise of loot that you will be able to take over to Borderlands the Pre Sequel also are nice little additions.

I decided to stick with my PS3 a little while longer and am going to pick up a couple more of these titles I'm missed out on rather than pay for the PS4 that never discounted like I hoped for Black Friday. PS for BC - if you happen to be a Final Fantasy guy, the FFX/FFX-2 HD Remaster is definitely worth it.

I didn't even catch that Game of Thrones (Telltale Games) Episode 1 came out this past Tuesday. Immediately bought the season pass $25 for all 6 episodes and can't wait to play this later today! I'll share my thoughts later on that one.
Just finished up my rental of WWE 2k15 and I was even more unimpressed then I expected to be. Pretty, kind of. The wrestlers all look kind of glossy, even cartoony in a way and some just look downright awful. Creator is pretty decent, but I feel like they had less in this years version then previous installments. The 2K Showcase mode was decent fun to relive two of the better story-arcs in the last 10 years in Cena/Punk 2011-2012 and HBK/HHH from 2002. I kind of wish there was more of this though, but both just remind you how bad the current product is and maybe they didn't want to remind us of that. However since previous versions usually offered up to 5 stories I can't help but feel they just phoned it in after the two.
WWE Universe is what it's always been as far as I can tell, and the thing that had potential was the WWE Career mode where you make you guy and start him off in NXT and basically just have matches until you move up to the main roster. You run into legends here and there that will offer you a challenge, but for the most part this is a long boring mode of pick between two guys to fight and get SP (to upgrade) and VC (to buy movesets/skills) until you eventually reach your retirement or like me just get bored and send it back to Gamefly.
