Still not sure how good the Knicks are gonna be this year. Btw...change your logo to a good Knicks one. I'm not expecting anything outrageous like a finals appearance but I think a lot of people are short changing them. Also didn't know I was allowed to do that, I see all the former New York's have had this logo. If i'm allowed to i'd definitely want to change it to something better. Yup speak with John

In terms of the Knicks, (I am also a fan), I still think they'll win around 50 games and probably will have to go through a physical series with the Bulls or Pacers again in the 2nd round.

Also: I'm torn whether I'd be sad if Rondo was traded for young assets, which means as much as I love his passing and assisting and his speed and ability to blow by nearly anyone and his perfect weird fucking twisty layups and his attitude and his general Celtic-ness...the fact that I'm questioning whether I'd be sad if he was gone is as good as indictment as any that maybe he would be better off not retiring in Celtic green.
Bummer. I love the guy irrationally. But, shit. He's not going to want to be here for the three years (AT THE LEAST) it will take for the Celtics to become promising again, so why not deal him before he has the option to deny our contract extension?
Yeah. I used "us" and "we" in that post. Screw you.

The Wolves looked like crap on saturday. At least I caught a T-Shirt at the game! Too bad it's a size too small.

It seems there have been a lot of injuries in the preseason. Carl Landry just got hurt yesterday and he's out 3-4 months now

So Nerlens Noels is going to sit his entire rookie season as he returns from a knee injury? I'm not too sure what to think of the move, it's probably smart long term though.

"Bill Sharman, an All-Star guard for the Boston Celtics in the 1950s who became coach of the Lakers and led the team to its first NBA championship in Los Angeles in record-setting fashion, died Friday. He was 87.
Sharman, who suffered a stroke last week, died at his home in Redondo Beach, said his wife, Joyce.
Sharman was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a player in 1976 and as a coach in 2004, joining John Wooden and Lenny Wilkens as the only men honored in both roles, and in 1996 was selected as one of the 50 greatest players of the NBA's first 50 years."

No clue what the Wizards are thinking on that trade...even with the lottery protection on the pick, deal makes no sense to me.

No clue what the Wizards are thinking on that trade...even with the lottery protection on the pick, deal makes no sense to me. They're in playoff contention right now. They're every bit as good as, and I'd say better than, than Detroit, Toronto, and Cleveland (assuming Bynum gets hurt again). Gortat isn't that good, but he gives the Wizards a great pick & roll option with Wall. That said, as much as this will help Washington, this was a steep price to pay. Best case scenario, that pick ends up being #15, which is roughly equivalent to a top 3 pick in this past draft.

So annoyed by the coverage over here. Still havent secured a tv deal to show any games over here, they never seem to at the start of the season. Trying to expand the game over here by bringing the teams over for games but they cant even get a tv deal sorted. We get NFL games on three different channels.

There is a way you can get NBA TV for free or close to it if you live abroad.
Forgot how but I saw it one a Wolves forum not long ago.

Like I said earlier, one pointless game in a long season doesn't make or break the fact that OKC will be a top 3 seed in the West while the Wolves will struggle to be a 9-10th seed year after year. You're too young to remember that MN has been doing this since the early 90s son, if KG couldn't get this team over the hump then there's no way Ricky Rubio will....

Ugh...Nothing to do tonight other then play the new Batman game so I was gonna see the NBA options and of course the only games on TV are Miami/Chicago and LAL/LAC. Seriously FUCK YOU! NBA not everybody only cares about those teams. I actually would have liked to see the Orlando/Indiana game that is also happening tonight, but then again it's because Indiana plays defense and ball the way it used to be in the old days....

You're too young to remember that MN has been doing this since the early 90s son, if KG couldn't get this team over the hump then there's no way Ricky Rubio will.... This is why you watch regular season games... I watched plenty Wolves games in the last three seasons, and more then enough to understand what we have on our team. Kevin Love has obvious star power, Pekovic has grown exponentially in his time in MN, and Rubio has adjusted to the NBA well and is finding his shot. Also the addition of Kevin Martin reunited with the coach he had when he had the most success with will only add to the equation. I could keep going and talk about each player on our team but it makes little difference. I am a fan of basketball and a fan of the Timberwolves so I actually watch all these 'meaningless' games regardless if we are making the playoffs or not. The benifit of it is knowing our team, knowing what we are capable of, AND I get to enjoy some of the more entertaining players in basketball in their entirety instead of the 4-28 games in the playoffs. One last thing. If you watched any regular season Wolves, you wouldn't be making assumptions based on the organization, you'd be making assumptions based on our actual players on our team. I guess at least you have some basketball knowledge and watch the sport a bit. That's a lot better then people who don't give it a shot and say its all squeaky shoes and free throws ::sigh:: BTW, I'm not trying to be rude at all. You're just bashing my team and my sport so I gotta say something

Yeah it's real easy to be a bandwagon jumper, Dave, and look down on the rest of us who cheer for one team. Weren't you a lakers fan until they started to suck? Same for the colts? Now your team is Denver.. Real easy to cheer for a winner when you just jump over to the winningest team year after year.

You're just bashing my team and my sport so I gotta say something Calm down Tyler.... I've watched basketball since I was a small child. After closing up the shop I would go home and watch B-Ball while you were trying to figure out how to build your Chris Benoit deck I've always been around basketball, whether it be the old as hell fantasy B-Ball leagues back in the Funco days with John and Co. or playing with Pete Scott out in Albany back in the day. I should point out that I do watch regular season games, I just don't put much stock into what I see. I watched every OKC game that was televised last season as well as most small market teams. Unfortunately I was around for the days when the Wolves gave up Ray Allen for Stephon Marbury and other outstanding deals before this current "crop" of Wolves fans. K. Love is a great #2..He however is not a number 1. Stick him with a Melo, DRose, KD, etc and he could show what he really is capable of. The Russian C while getting better plays a position that is almost meaningless these days and still got way more then he should have. KMart.....Good luck with that. Like I said I watched every OKC game last year and that worthless pile showed up maybe twice last season. He is a me first player if there ever was one. He has a quick release that is usually so quick that there is nobody there to get an offensive rebound and might as well be a turnover. Do like the smart MN fans due and: (actually mean Abandon Team..I just wanted to post this GIF)
