Keep in mind - I don't watch any longer. I caught a few episodes last year and was horrified. Though I like Bryan Daniels/Daniel Bryan - reminds me of a cross between Angle/Austin which is kind of weird but it works and he can wrestle!
So.. is Rocky Miavia really the champ? If so, how did that happen? I thought The Blue Chipper only wrestled like 1-2 times a year.
Why is Jericho on that Robot Combat League and why isn't that show better? Fighting robots - that's money in the bank!

When I'm sick, I watch wrestling documentaries on Netflix. I did this and learned all about CM Punk, who is a wrestler, apparently. Also: The Big Show is still alive.

Also, why didn't anyone tell me that Paul Bearer died last month?

What? Seriously? I'm sure some wrestling nerd killed it with a dead Paul Bearer joke. I'm too shaken up to find it

CM Punk seems like the type of main eventer I'd like but I haven't seem him wrestle more than twice.
I'd like to know more about his shoot promo on RAW about how WWE sucks. He got an extension the next day right? Weird.

I am on the fence on watching anymore. I DVR Raw each week and skip about 95% of it. To get you up to date, there are two world champions. Raw has "The Rock" who comes back and does the Royal Rumble til Wrestlemania schedule and the other champ is Alberto Del Rio (Was a heel mexican JBL, now just a generic mexican face) There are two Midcard titles still. The Intercontinental champion Wade Barrett (Decent wrestler, was supposed to get a big push and then Big Show fucked him up bad) US champion is Antonio Cesaro. This guy is worth watching for alone. He came from Ring of Honor under the name Claudio something. Strong as hell, deadlifts dudes into a piledriver type move. Pretty cool.
Daniel Bryan is the best thing going for them alongside CM Punk. Punk would have fit in perfectly in the Attitude Era of wrestling and tries to play the heel role but fans still love him. Bryan was the most over guy in the company going into Wrestlemania last year and basically was thrown down the card into tag team hell because he wasn't supposed to get over. He teams with Kane as Team Hell No. Comedy gimmick that has overrun its course. However it started pretty good with this anger management session
Long story short, wrestling isn't anywhere near it once was with Austin, Rock, HBK, Angle, Benoit, etc... However there are a couple guys worth watching like Punk, Bryan, Cesaro, Dolph Ziggler (guy sells like old HBK). I expect a total trainwreck for Wrestlemania this Sunday and I may finally give up on the whole thing after that

Ziggler - ugh.
That cougar gimmick with Vicki Guerrero is something nasty.
That's a career killer.

I somewhat got into wrestling again after not watching for the past 7 or 8 years and I'm not sure how they can still have John Cena still doing the same exact gimmick he's been doing the past 10+ years. They need to turn him heel already.

They need to turn him heel already. I'd guess it's probably like a 10% chance of a heel turn at Mania for Cena. He is stale as fuck, but with the PG shit he's king. Massive sales of merchandise is what they would lose by turning him. I'd love it cause as is, he is awful. The ridiculous smirking every time he talks and the tendency to just randomly raise the volume of his voice during a promo to make it sound intense seems like something you'd get from a rookie to the business and not a guy been around forever. John-The Ziggler/Vickie stuff was awful and I think they missed a huge opportunity to have him turn on her and cash in his title shot. Problem is that I don't think he can be a face so they just stuck him with AJ and this Big E Langston guy. I guess it would seem like he would be the modern day Mr. Perfect. A guy they can count on to make people look really good but at the same time not somebody they want to push to the main spot. I like him strickly for his selling ability. To be honest he just reminds me of a more talented Billy Gunn in the looks department so that alone kills my interest in him being a "main" guy. As far as the career killer part, he's survived being one of the Spirit Squad Cheerleader guys and evolved from the guy that would introduce himself to everybody and say his name to them.

I was very curious how long it would take you guys to bring up wrestling, I don't think I've ever mentioned that spent some time training to be a wrestler. I've moved on with my life, but I still have a foot in the business.

More like the next Tiger Ali Singh. Anyways, lived in Calgary for a while, I was trained by Lance Storm. Went through two different sessions was interesting. I basically moved back home when my roommate got a deal with WWE. Its weird to see all my friends all over the world in the business. I still occasionally want to try to get a deal, but right now, I am as far away from the business as possible.

As far as Cena going I think it would be a good idea to do it at mania and here is why. First everyone who has watched the shows leading into the match have seen that Cena definitely isn't the most popular one in the match. So I remember someone named Hulk Hogan who was thought to be to big of draw as a face to ever turn heel and that sure worked out pretty good I should say for ratings and sales. Might be even possible for a Segway to a return of more edgier tv for wwe. I know the last part is wishful thinking on my part but oh well

We (Corey and I, okay, Corey mostly) LOVE Lance Bass!! Very cool. You two are disgusting. No sir, you are disgusting. Lance Storm is one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time. Roll through Single Leg Crab? FTW! He was at least used in a midcard title level in WCW, it's not his fault the WWE dropped the ball on his awesomeness and just made him serious guy. It's just another in the long history of if Vince didn't make the superstar/gimmick he doesn't want it to succeed.

Are you kidding me? Deano Machino? That man of 1000 moves?!

He can have his 1000 moves, however Y2J knows 1004. Arm Bar!
I think Lance could have improved on the mic given proper time. I think that's the biggest thing holding WWE back in its entertainment. If a guy isn't good on the mic (Shelton Benjamin for example) he's tossed out instead of being given help and a chance. If you are never allowed to go out and try to cut a promo how can you improve?
