Yeah basketball players are SOOOOOO lucky when they hit big shots. Oh and as for Orlando, Im surprised you haven't heard of Nikola Vucevic. You will soon enough. I wasn't referring to the one shot, I just meant lucky to have survived such a quality team with players such as...... Your initial post says we needed luck to get to OT and win and your response seems to go the other way and say the Wolves were lucky to beat the 'quality' Orlando Magic (seemingly sarcastic because we should have beaten them easily). If anything the Orlando Magic were 'lucky' that we didn't keep the pace we had in the first quarter and the first half of the game. So again the Wolves have a little work to do but they are going to be awesome, key word phrase here is 'going to'. And I am serious about Vucevic, hes a very solid player and Im sure we will be seeing a lot of him once Orlando gets back on the map or he gets traded (if that even happens.

Got back in the house from trick or treating with my son in time for the Knicks-Bulls game. Should be a fun game. I think the Knicks are wearing their orange alternates for the first time tonight

LAC and GS game last night was crazy. 38/9 from Steph Curry and 42/15 with 6 stls from Chris Paul. These two teams are going to have some intense games when they meet again, it was fun to watch.

To be fair, neither team plays a lick of defense. Not to mention maybe GS could have won the game if Curry didn't have 11 TOs.

He was being defended by Chris Paul who is one of the best defenders at PG and Chris Paul had 5 steals. I know both teams are focusing on defense this season but CP3 and Curry are pretty much unguardable when their hot, and last night they were both HOT.
Regardless it was a fun game to watch. Especially when there was 3 consecutive steals and 3 consecutive ally-oops from CP to Griffin and also watching Steph Curry drill a ton of threes. I'm excited to see the next three games these teams play against each other.

So can we fire Scott Brooks yet? If I have to watch Ibaka taking corner threes for any more games I'll break my TV. I think I found the thing about the Wolves that I really don't enjoy watching (Other then their court, I hate the look) much like Houston is these chuck it and fuck it 3 point offenses. The nights they are going in they can make you think they're going far and then they look pedestrian the rest of the time.
As far as tonights game goes, my heart goes out to KD. He has no help out there. Jackson has I think 7 TOs in the first half alone...and sadly most are unforced with him just dribbling around too much in traffic. I told the Mrs. this morning we would lose because for some reason MN is our worst kryptonite outside of Miami. I just don't see what Brooks is doing tonight. Seeing Perry Jones III playing so much when he has no where near enough experience to be out there yet...AND I can't believe I'm going to say this, but we need Perkins/Adamas out there against MN. We need that big that can just stand in the post and bang with the bigs. I love that Ibaka is built like a truck and can't bang worth two shits. 2 more weeks before we get Westbrook back and maybe we can look like a real team again. Hopefully we can tear off enough L's early to get Brooks an axe.
Good half MN, we can't expect to compete with 13 turnovers so maybe it's time to play some playstation.

You have a pretty good way of not giving the Wolves props. We've played a great game and all of our players have been contributing and knocking down shots. Also Brewer has played some really good defense on Durant. I'm actually kind of surprised by that, he's been blanketing Durant for much of the night and kept the ball from being passed Durants way on more then one occasion. I'd like to see what happens when Westbrook comes back though, it changed OKCs entire offense.

I'm actually kind of surprised by that, he's been blanketing Durant for much of the night and kept the ball from being passed Durants way on more then one occasion. I'd like to see what happens when Westbrook comes back though, it changed OKCs entire offense. I said they played well, I just said I'm not a fan of that offense they run (like Houston). It's not hard for any team to handle Durant the way that Brooks plays him. KD is getting doubled every time he touches the ball, and instead of getting it to him in the post to make a quick move like MJ used to do he keeps getting the ball late on the wing and then there is no motion. This team is in desperate need of Russ back because RJ is a turnover waiting to happen. He isn't consistent enough from downtown to be taken seriously and he doesn't have the handles (basically a worse WB). Like I said before, I'd be happy with a bad record out of the gate to get people calling for Brooks head. Ibaka should not be working on his outside shot in the offseason, because he has no way of making his own shot. He needs to develop a low post game and then I'd be much happier with the team. It feels like it's trial and error for the first month to see which of our young players are going to see time in the second half of the season and the playoffs (PJ3/Adams/Lamb). Really all we need is a big that can score when he gets the ball down low semi-consistently and it could help open up the offense. As is each team in both the playoffs, Utah in game 1, and tonight is just running their center at KD for doubles and Perk is well Perk so there's that. I think a bad start and some adversity will actually be good for the team in the long run. They've had it so easy the last few seasons and I don't think they really know how to work hard as a unit because the only time they were really punched in the was against the Heat two seasons ago at full strength. Anyways, it's gonna be a long month on this side of the fence

Wolves are 2-0 now but have a tough 3 game stretch starting tonight through Wednesday.
Love to still be above .500 later next week.

I hope the Twolves continue to do great, except for tonight. I hope they get beat tonight. But I know last season Pek was a tough matchup for Tyson. But that was with him sleep walking though the year, hopefully the Knicks get the Tyson Chandler they've gotten these past 2 games.

This is ugly, the Knicks are giving the Timberwolves the ball and not playing with any intensity.

Wolves get the win. I was worried for a while on that comeback but we pulled it out. The only thing I don't like so far is the fact that Kevin Love is still bitching to refs instead of getting back on D. Fortunately he came out of a timeout with a level head and hit some great shots to help us win it. Also Kevin Martin has been exactly what we needed so far.

Wow, the Wolves got to the line 38 times against NY. Not much you can do against that Knicks. Glad to see Russ back and help the Thunder hold off the Suns who hit 14 3 pointers (yikes).

Don't really know what to make of the season so far. Wolves starts 3-0 Philly starts 3-0 Brooklyn beats Miami and then loses by 21 to Orlando :/ Miami and OKC slow out of the gate Lakers beat the Clippers, then lose to GS, who then lost to the Clippers so LAL=LAC=GSW? Up is down, down is left...
I just don't know what's going on.

Not too worried about that lost to the Timberwolves. The Knicks didn't truly seem interested in the first quarter which is what lost the game. They played much better from the second quarter onward but it was too little too late at that point. What really killed us was Melo getting in foul trouble early. As much as people hate JR Smith, he would have helped some in a moment like that. When the Wolves had Love on Shumpert at the end of the game, JR would have thrived in that situation.

2 of the 4 undefeated teams got handed their first loss tonight. Minny fell to the Cavaliers and Philly got destroyed by the Warriors.

I know I joked before about the Clippers not playing defense, but that Clipper/Rocket game was a sad display of defense. 137-118 in regulation? Jeez.
