Damn looks like I spoke too soon, now I'm seeing that Cassel is starting Sunday because Ponder has a fractured rib...luckily, looks like Ponder will be back in time for the Carolina game. Phew, that was a close one...wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to face Ponder.

Not really a big nfl fan but enjoyed being at the Vikings/Steelers game. Was suprised with how many Americans came over for it.

Yeah, Saints are down right scary. Pass Rush in football has become the most important thing in the entire game. Insane!

Yeah, what is going on in Cleveland. Haven't watched any of them. Defense that good?

Yeah, what is going on in Cleveland. Haven't watched any of them. Defense that good? Yes it is. Problem is that Hoyer may have torn ACL so the curse of Weeden will cause another bad season for them...

Sounds like they are worried about ACL tear but also heard maybe sprained knee..
Who knows..

Welp. ACL it is. Sucks for Hoyer, I thought he played himself into a chance to be a franchise QB for the Browns possibly. Weeden gets to suck it up for them again....yah!

The Denver/Dallas game was crazy! Who would've thought that Romo would put up better stats than Peyton.

Didn't matter in the end, as the only story anyone is gonna talk about tomorrow is that Romo threw a late pick and cost them the game...

So why do people always say a close win is so great? I felt alot better being up by 8 at the half and assuming blowout then a 3 pt win. Just one week if we could get through a game without somebody getting injured would be great for defensive chemistry. Although Dallas does have a hell of an offensive line, I could have hit receivers if I had all day like Romo did. Thank god after we dismantle Jax next week we'll have back Champ and Von. Hopefully Chris Harris is ok. Losing him to the concussion was rough on the defense this week. The only plus we can take away is that we were able to step up in the end and pull out a close one that we probably didn't deserve. Romo played the game of his career and we pulled it out on the road. 5-0 Baby!

LO' fucking L. The Vikings tonight sign Josh Freeman to a 1 yr contract. Cassell comes in and plays well after watching Ponder blow for weeks and then they sign this fat fuck? So even if he plays and does amazing, it's a 1 yr deal and will walk away to a big deal somewhere else next season. No-Win for the Vikings for just a 1 yr rental. Can't imagine he signed without knowing he'd get a shot to play when there were a few squads trying to sign him

I was going to mock the Freeman signing by the Vikings...but after Cam Newton's 0 TD, 3 INT performance where he was posing after every first down run WHEN THEY WERE STILL LOSING I'm ready for the Panthers to give someone else a shot at this point.

As a Saints fan, I am sad to see Freeman go from Tampa. Was easy game. I said it before and I will say it again, can't win with Cam.
As a matter of fact, running QB's don't win Super Bowls. You HAVE to be able to pass from pocket. IDC how much the league "changes" ...

Lets be real here though, the Ron Rivera/Mike Shula combo is not helping things. Neither are his receivers

I really don't see much of a difference between him and Kaepernick besides creative playcalling and being surrounded by help. Yeah Kaepernick might be faster while Cams stronger but its not that big of a difference

Yeah Kaepernick might be faster while Cams stronger but its not that big of a difference Might be why San Fran is 3-2 and hasn't been very effective passing since opener and vs. RAMS. Lol. NFL figures these runners out during the off-season. Plus, no franchise is going to turn their "franchise QB" loose to run all the time for fear of injury which leads to them being exposed in passing game. Meanwhile, Alex Smith is 5-0 with the Chiefs and Andrew Luck and the Colts are getting better and better.

I'm gonna be honest, I like the Freeman move for the Vikings.
I don't think there is any risk is running him in here for 3 million bucks. Didn't give up anything and you can take a good, long look at what he is.
I haven't seen enough of Josh Freeman play to know what kind of player he is but I don't have a lot of faith in this signing leading to finding the Vikings a franchise QB.
I still think they need to draft one in the first two rounds this year.
