I think that even a tie will destroy any chance of getting to 2nd round.

Don't think a draw would totally destroy the US from qualifying but a win would put in you a great position. Portugal were pretty poor earlier today and they will be missing Pepe and Coentrao who picked up a bad injury so they are beatable as long as you keep Ronaldo quite. Then you got Germany last who should be already through by then and could rest some key guys.

Yes a well done set piece there towards the end! Pretty intense pressure by Ghana to get the equalizer before that

Big win for the US there although a couple injuries along the way, that group is set up nicely now.

England just lost to Saurez. Going to be tough to make it to the knockout round. They have to beat Costa Rica and Italy has to beat Uruguay. Assuming Itlay beats Costa Rica tomorrow of course. It'll force a 3 way tie in points which England will get to the top of on GD.

Yea we won't get through now but still a slight chance. Was a tough group and we played ok in both games but still disapointing.

Great game there between Ghana and Germany, not a bad result for the US either.

You think that's better than an outright win for either of the teams?
I'm not sure. I'm curious.

Yea a Germany win would of been better for you guys, to keep the point away from Ghana and Germany would of already been through for when you play them. If you can beat Portgual today you are through, even a draw and you would be in a good position.

Hell of a play.
Tough to not keep the ball away from them the last few seconds. Still in good standing but not locked into the round of 16.

To use a hockey term should have dumped the puck deep and made them bring it all the way back. Still in decent shape and playing well
