Name: Andrew Bynum Position: C Number: 817 DOB: October 27, 1987 Age when drafted: 17 College: None Hometown: Metuchen , New Jersey Height: 7'0" Weight: 285
Strengths: Prep to pro's center who has a ton of talent but injuries and attitude issues held him back from ever having a consistent prime. At his best he is a anchor post capable of putting up 15+ points and 10+ boards while patrolling the paint (1.6) blocks per game for career. Is among the strongest bigs of his era and was an immovable object on the low block. Despite being a traditional big man never had trouble with turnovers (1.5 per game). Good but not great interior defender who despite his size wasn't used and abused in pick n roll situations. Good at getting to the line and efficient scorer who stays within himself (.556 for career)
Weaknesses: Always hurt and only played 70+ games in one year out of 8 before being out of the league with injuries at the age of 26. Mediocre FT shooter (.690) but did improve during his career. Lack of lateral quickness compared to smaller centers and not a great leaper.
Significant Info:1 Time All Star, 1 Time 2nd Team All NBA, 2 Championships, Played 8 NBA Seasons (injuries)
