Strengths: Prep to pros big man has turned into as fundamentally sound of a post scorer and rebounder as exists, putting up 17 and 9 on .499 shooting. Average FT shooter for big man .710 and has a big of touch out to about 10-12 feet but is not a great long range shooter at all. Despite a lot of touches does not turn the ball over (1.5/game) and has decent hands (0.7 steals and 1.3 blocks per game. As strong as they come.
Weaknesses: Poor athlete despite strength. Lacks lift and lateral quickness. Has almost no range on his shot and although he does not turn it over much he passes even less (1.1 apg) Once Big Al has the ball it is going up. Average at best post defender who struggles mightily outside of the paint and in pick n roll situation where he has to move his feet or hedge a screen. Has trouble with injuries only twice playing 80+ games in 11 seasons. Can play both C and PF but lack of atheltic ability means he is best at C.
