Name: Jalen Rose Position: SF/SG/PG Number: 5 DOB: January 30, 1973 Age when drafted: 21 College: University of Michigan Hometown: Detroit, Michigan Height: 6'8" Weight: 210 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STRENGTHS: Left-Hander that could play 3 positions. At his peak from 2000 to 2003 he was the perfect wing guy to play with a star like Reggie in Indy or be the guy in Chicago. Great stroke as a jumpshooter and above average three point shooter. Good enough ball-handler to play some point guard. Ended up developing into a good low post player with his back to the basket as his game improved. Great sixth man material due to his skill sets but lack of one outstanding talent or athletic ability. WEAKNESSES: When forced to create Jalen turned the ball over at a high rate. Considering he length at 6'8", he was never a good defender and might rate below average. Not the smoothest guy on the court lacking the speed needed to play guard or small forward but a bit to small to play power forward. SIGNIFICANT INFO: One of the fab five recruiting class at Michigan. NBA Most Improved Player (2000) NBA All-Rookie Second Team (1995) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1-5 rate the following for each category (half points can be given Ins: 3.5 Jps: 4 Fts: 4 3Ps: 3.5 Hnd: 3.5 Pas: 3 ORb: 2 DRb: 3 PsD: 1.5 PrD: 2 Stl: 1.5 Blk: 1 Qck: 3.5 Str: 3.5 Jmp: 3.5 St: 4.5
