STRENGTHS:
After some challenging early years fighting with Rick Pitino in Boston and being traded to Toronto, and Denver, Billups signed on to be a backup in Minnesota. Working with Kevin Garnett and others he began to round into an NBA player. Mr. Big Shot then took over in Detroit, as he lead a talent and tough team. Chauncey was not the best shooter or passer or the quickness but in crunch time he would take the big shot. He didn't get tons of steals but was know to be a defender that got under the skin of his opponent. Solid career 3P shooter at 38 percent and 89 percent free throw shooter.
WEAKNESSES:
Billups was a bit of a volume shooter that took a lot of deep 2's and 3's that didn't go in. At times he turned the ball over at high levels for a point guard. Might even have been more of a guard without a spot than a true point or shooting guard. Long career that ended with a three seasons of continuous knee and leg problems.
SIGNIFICANT INFO:
If you want to see a player who could get it do, look at Chauncey and the fact that he made it to 7 straight conference Finals from 2002-2009.
