STRENGTHS:
Your old-school point guard across the board. Handles the rock well and passes it pretty well. Advanced perimeter Defender who can flat out get after a ball-handler. Good quickness and leaping ability get him some steals and make him dangerous in space. Very strong stroke from the FT line, so fouling him is a very bad idea. Mechanically has a very nice stroke on his jumper, so that should be enough to get him some space for passing lanes on the floor.
WEAKNESSES:
Thin, and gets pushed around because of it. Really not flexible in his game at this time: he's going to play PG and PG only. Provides no help whatsoever on the glass, and doesn't block shots even with solid athletic gifts. Cassell's 3 point shot really disappeared at times for FSU, which is not good for a guy as thin as Cassell is. He is also incredibly lazy, which coaches have tried to beat out of him for some time. Guess what? It hasn't worked real well. Leonard Hamilton got him to play sometimes...but I don't think a team in ABCA will tolerate his laziness.
SIGNIFICANT INFO: Called "Enigma" by just about everyone because effort is all over the board...if he's focused, he can be very good. The problem is, no one knows quite how to trigger it.
