Both teams got what they wanted. The only downfall for CSP is if they are still a bottom-dweller (alongside me ) and Seattle gets a top pick in 2016.

Good deal for both! Seattle may end winning due to getting that 2016 1st

I think its pretty even.
Seattle was just a few pieces from making the playoffs this year, and Satch is one of the best Post defenders in the entire league (All-League 2nd D behind Bill Russel.) There's also a good chance that the 2016 1st is a top 10 pick.
On my end I get to add a nice young piece to Havlicek & 15. Also while I loved Satch I'd have to be resigning him at close to the max. I'm already 35 mil under cap and now other than the 3 rookies I have all expiring next season, where there is quite a few nice people potentially on the FA market.

Yeah time will certainly tell on this trade. I'm going to be very aggressive next FA (our first real FA crop), so we'll have to see how that pans out. If I come up empty handed, or everyone resigns, then Seattle wins this one by a lot.

Seattle murders CSP in this trade, and it really isn't that close people. Seattle gets a guy who is young, rebounds well on both sides of the court and is a shot blocking monster. In return, CSP gets 4 guys who wouldn't crack the starting lineup of any team in the league and a pick that wasn't as good as the pick he gave up in 2016. I literally have no clue what the thought process was here, but I know I'll be going after Satch in Seattle.

I knew people would favor Seattle in this deal and that's fair.
Yes its 4 non-starters but they are all expiring, plus an additional 3 mil in cap that seattle absorbed. I'll be going into next Free Agency with 45 mil in cap and a number of creation 1st and 2nd rounders are coming off the books.
Not that that's enough to tip the scales.

Here's what I've never understood...you will be in year 2 where you will be like 25-57 recordwise. The game will essentially want to fire you (it has an owner's approval rating which already lists you as POOR after year 1). Factoring in bird years, loyalty, play for winner, etc...what do people assume that good FA are going to flock to bad teams just cause they can offer money, especially when this game allows FAs to negotiate to re-sign with their old teams midyear before their old contracts run out. And if you don't get 2-3 major stars to sign in CSP, that 2016 1st is going to be top 10 minimum...meaning you swapped a top 10 for a top 10 and gave Satch Sanders (at 23 years old) for expiring contracts. As I said before, I don't get the thought process at all.

Yeah the more I look at this the more I realize I might have fucked up.
But at the very least this will give me some incentive to try and get competitive.
