Pros: Perhaps a bit less known due to his lack of NCAA experience, Emiliano Rodriguez has spent the last year proving himself as a prolific scorer in his native Spanish pro league. Rodriguez enters the leagues with an excellent mid range game, off the dribble as well as off of screens. Rodriguez is also a deceptively fast player, which he deftly uses to create shots for himself. His inside game is also improving as he is becoming more of a finisher after beating his man off the dribble. Ball handing and perimeter defense are both areas in which Rodriguez has begun to improve vastly. Cons: A bit of a question mark in his game is his lack of 3-point range. With his versatile scoring game, he might not need to be the best 3-point shooter, but as it stands he even has trouble hitting the open 3-pointer, which is definitely something that you expect from a 2. A rather poor leaper, which results in a non-presence on the boards on both sides of the floor. At 23, a bit older than most of the draft class which could count against him in the eyes of a future focused team. Overall: Emiliano Rodriguez is certainly one of the more polished wing prospects in this years draft, a result of already playing pro-ball in Spain. His lack of 3-point range is definitely a red flag for GMs around the league, but his dynamic scoring ability within the arc can't be denied. Could mature into a very nice 2nd or 3rd option for a team. Projected: 10-15
