Name: Aaron McKie
Position: SG
Number: 23
DOB: 10/6/2005
Age when drafted: 19
College: Temple
Hometown: 19
Height: 6'5
Weight: 213
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRENGTHS: If you look up "freak athlete" in the dictionary, it cross-references McKie. His game is built on his leaping ability and stamina, and he can score around the rim a bit because of it. Decent foul shooter, which is good because his game is driving to the basket. Has the makings of a good jumper, but doesn't go to it a whole lot. Defensively, his athleticism is his calling card again, and he should mature into a solid outside defender.
WEAKNESSES: A guy that's this strong athletically should score a ton. McKie didn't. Effort seems to be a concern, especially if his man backs him down. He normally gets killed on the blocks, and that shouldn't happen. Doesn't get as many steals as he should either. Most coaches (including his own, John Chaney) have said his effort doesn't match his production. Not a great ballhandler or passer, but is it effort or skill there? His quickness has taken a slight hit (he's still fast in a straight line) because of injury.
SIGNIFICANT INFO: All-A10 high jumper at Temple.
