Apparently no one has any.
I feel this is INCREDIBLY shortsighted by Milan.
He's too far from the playoffs and has nothing to pair with Pete.
And he gave up his 27?
Just horrid.

We see it time and time again from GMs... no reason to be shocked though. Is what it is. Gotta have bad GMs so the good ones can continue to stay on top.

Milan is a great GM, he understands the value of players well. I suppose his way of rebuilding is more through the trade route to be able to compete in a much shorter time span. Personally, I feel building through the draft is the much superior route. Even if you are able to grab a current superstar from a team, their era of dominance will likely be coming to an end (age 28 to 29) giving you maybe a 1-2 seasons window to win. This is made even more difficult if there are not many other trade chips on the team. Most likely a team will be in the ever dreaded treadmill stage where they're getting picks between 14-18 and not close in talent to top tier teams.
Building through the draft is tough as well because it is really boring to have to be a terrible team for 2-3 seasons. But as you are doing so, you are picking up players in the 1-5 range in the draft that are 20 years old and could be legit superstars in a couple seasons. Before you know it you have 2-3 superstars that will give you a chance to win for the next 7-8 seasons, a much larger window of opportunity. What makes it even better is that if these guys are traded at the right time for young up and comers or high draft picks, the teams era of winning will seemingly never come to an end (i.e. Bulls, Towers, Sonics etc.)

San MiguelNo. He is painfully impatient to the point that he has mortgaged his team's future multiple times for a shot at the 8th seed. Sometimes a GM needs to be verbally battered around in hopes that they learn something which it appears that after several seasons in this league, he has not/ will not learn. If he had a very good supporting cast already set for Pistol's arrival then the trade wouldn't be as bad. But he doesn't and Maravich cannot win as the lone superstar. Hell, he can't win unless the GM knows what Gameplan works best for him. Washington is the only team to have success with Pistol and he had Rick Barry in his prime to help him.

Lol......
I need to be verbally battered to learn a lesson in a sim league???
You had a rough childhood didn't you...
I honestly couldn't care less about your thoughts on how I build a team, but that comment was probably the funniest thing ive read in a while.

I actually had a wonderful childhood, thank you for asking. However, when I first started sim leagues I wasn't good... at all. Anyone in Global with me or my earlier years in AvN can attest to that fact. The verbal abuse I took made me actually stop and look at the game and realize how much better I could actually be doing. I understand that its a computer game but winning is still fun. You once said that you would never trade your firsts again after giving up some top picks. And yet here you go sending away a pick 3 drafts away for what? A 29 year old player, albeit very good player, who will decline by then AND expire before that pick comes to pass. If it were your pick this year, this probably wouldn't be that much of an issue. But with your track record, you just handed Sydney a lotto pick to use as trade bait or keep. Good job.
