Name: Tom Gugliotta Position: SF/PF Jersey Number: 24 DOB: 12/19/69 Age when drafted: 23 (6th Pick of 1st Rd) College: North Carolina State University Hometown: Huntington Station, NY Height: 6'10'' Weight: 240
Strengths: "Googs" was able to use his great size to knock out a pretty decent while shortish NBA career. He was able to develop a very good midrange game so that he could shoot over the top or take defenders down into the post where he could continue going up and over the defender. Tom showed great potential upon entering the league improving his stats in college every season up until his selection. Tom was an above average scorer in his day and was very good on the boards being near 10 a game a few times in his career.
Weaknesses: Like many of the draftees, his health played a big issue with his time on the court. Even when healthy most seasons he was inbetween 30-35 minutes a game at the peak of his career. Tom played alot more PF then he did SF due to his inability to knock down the long ball. The early years weren't great with his free throw numbers but he worked hard to improve upon those.
Significant Info: 1 x All Star (1997) All Rookie 1st Team (1993)
