Name: Doug Christie Position: SG/SF Number: 13 DOB: May 9, 1970 Age when drafted: 22(1st round 17th overall) College: Pepperdine Hometown: Seattle, Washington Height: 6'6" Weight: 200
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRENGTHS: Jay Bilas loves this guy with his gigantic wingspan, quick hands and feet and tenacious defensive ability. He averaged 1.9 steals per game in his career and was known as a lock down defender making an All NBA Defensive Team 4 times in his career. Good at the FT line (.821) but not a consistent shooter, relies on drives and transition for most of his points. Decent but not great rebounder for a guard at 4 a game. Solid passer and ball handler but not excellent at either.
WEAKNESSES: Thin frame means concerns about his strength. He only hits wide open three (career .354) but also doesn’t take a lot of them. Best role is on a team who doesn’t need him to be a major option offensively (only averaged 15+ ppg twice in career)
SIGNIFICANT INFO: 3 time All NBA All Defensive 2nd Team 1 time All NBA All Defensive 3rd Team Top 5 in NBA in Steals 7 Times, including leading the league in 2000-2001 32nd All Time in Steals and 17th in Steals per Game (1.9) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
