Name: Jeffrey John Hornacek Position: Shooting Guard Number: 14 DOB: May 3, 1963 Age when drafted: 1986 NBA Draft (23) College: Iowa State University Hometown: Elmhurst, Illinois Height: 6'3" Weight: 190 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STRENGTHS: A late second round pick, Hornacek surprised many with his emergence as a very solid player. Averaged nearly 15 PPG for his career shooting a tremendous .496% from the field. Was a really good passer from the off guard position finishing his career with an average of 5 APG. Pitched in with a few rebounds as well in his younger days, going for 5 a game in the 1991-1992 season. Furthermore Hornacek was an excellent shooter from beyond the arc shooting .403% for his career and add in his great shooting stroke from the freethrow line (88% for his career) and Hornacek was a complete offensive player. WEAKNESSES: Hornacek was only an average defender. He would get pulled in some crunch defensive situations for better defenders at the end of the game. Didn't really have much of an inside game and was more of a jump shooter.
