STRENGTHS: Penny was billed as the next MJ and for the first few seasons of his career he showed a tremendous all-round ability of scoring, passing, rebounding and defense. This quickly came to a halt as the injuries hit.
Anfernee had the rare combination of size, speed and athleticism. For his first few healthy seasons he averaged around 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists per game. Furthermore he was an excellent defender using long arms and speed to stay ahead of opposing players and showcasing a great ability to swipe as proven by his nearly 2 steals per game in his first 6 seasons.
WEAKNESSES:
Was turnover prone in the beginning of his career. Penny just could not stay healthy and what began as an outstanding career quickly become marred by persistent injuries.
