Note: Sorry if this is bad or I'm not suppose to do this yet, but I figured "why not" and picked one of the guys that wasn't the sexiest so you guys could have fun with Penny, Shaq, Hill & Co. Constructive criticism welcomed as this was my first and looked at previous reports, but know I could improve in some areas. If I wasn't suppose to do this yet please delete, won't hurt my feelings.
Name: Hubert Davis
Position: SG
Number: #44
DOB: May 17, 1970
Age when drafted: 22 years of age
College: University of North Carolina
Hometown: Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Height: 6'5
Weight: 183 lbs
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRENGTHS:
When you think of Hubert Davis, the first thing that comes to mind is his deep-range threat. He's a sharpshooter at heart and will make the biggest impact for a team that is built to shoot from outside. Davis also was a decent mid-range shooter, especially from either side of the elbow when attempting a jumpshot. Was not turnover prone, that may be due to the lack of creating for others which will be listed in the weaknesses portion of this report.
WEAKNESSES:
Defense was not Hubert Davis' calling card. During his career as he focused more on offense his defense really started to struggle as he couldn't post a Defensive Win Share above 1.0 after his first four years in the league. Davis left a lot to be desired on the boards as well, because 2.1rpg was the best he could muster. Purely a shooter, because he did not create for others as much as you would want from an offensive-focused SG.
SIGNIFICANT INFO:
Save for the 1996-96 season when he got hurt and missed majority of the season, Davis shot over 40% from 3 from 1993-94 to 2001-02 and was consistently in the Top 10 in 3-point % for his career. In his career, he attempted nearly 36% of all of his shots from 3, knowing that it was the smartest and more efficient shot he had in his arsenal.
