STRENGTHS: Defense, Gary Payton was an elite defender arguably the best ever defensive point guard to play including winning NBA Defensive Player of the Year award the only point guard to ever win that award. Gary Payton was a great all round point guard who could score, averaged 16PPG over his career including 11 seasons over 19PPG, assist 6.7APG over his career and stealer 2.1SPG over his career. The majoity of his points came from the paint and jumpshots. Gary also did a great job of limiting turnovers averaging just 2.3TPG in his career.
WEAKNESSES: There wasn't that many weakness in Payton's game, maybe the biggest would be his three point shooting although it wasn't terrible, shooting .317% over his career it wasn't really a strength.
