Looks like a bunch of garbage both ways but Mexico gets a good pick somehow.
Mexico wins.

I like it, just not sure for who yet. Picks are great, but that's alot of good players (not great) to add to an interesting lineup. If one of these moves for a PG it's good for Philly. That division is rough so MC should get something out of that pick

Yeah that package doesnt deserve a first, and on top of that, Korac can still play some.

Titans win the deal but it's not as bad as some making it out to be.

Yeah it could pretty much go in a lot of different directions for Sabonis at this point. He'll still be 22 years old when the next training camp comes around so he has five more training camps where his potential can fluctuate.
In those five TCs he could see his potential shoot back up (Schmidt/Cosic), continue to drop (DFT/Dawkins), or remain the same.
I think the Titans clearly win this trade right now but with so much time for him to still fluctuate (and with TC being a crapshoot), Sabonis could still turn into something legit.

My scout absolutely hates Sabonis, so I wouldn't have given a first for him.

He didn't JUST get Sabonis though.
He also got Bob Love and Jeff Mullins who are solid contributors.

Are Love and Mullins worth a lotto pick? They're not gonna get the Sixers in the playoffs.

Yeah I touched on this in an article yesterday they are way out, in a tough division, in a tough conference and their biggest issue is PG which this deal did nothing to address. So I really don't get it at all for Philly even if the players involved are worth a late lotto pick, which is debatable.

Bing suffers a major injury, and Philly makes a massive trade...that doesn't solve his PG issue at all. Huh?

Right and it isn't like Bing is a world beater at PG, just a solid player. I mean couldn't they have added Mo Cheeks or a real PG for that pick and wouldn't that have been of much greater value to them?

Bing might not be a world beater, but they were 10-8 with him...they've been 6-18 since he went down. Ouch.
