STRENGTHS: Hardaway's biggest strength was his ball handling, which made him a great one on one player, using his crossover dribble, which revolutionized the point guard position, to beat opponents. He also was a great passer of the ball, averaging 8.2apg for his entire career, averaging 10apg or more on 3 seperate occasasions including a career high in the 92-93 season where he averaged 10.6apg. He recorded 5,000 points and 2,500 assists in the second fastest time in NBA history, doing so in 262 games. As his career developed his 3-point shooting improved and he holds the Miami Heat all time record for 3pt field goals. Also a decent rebounder for the point guard position, mainly on the defensive end.
WEAKNESSES: Although he was a good scorer, throughout his career he never really shot a great percentage from the field, taking a lot of shots to score his points, he wasn't a great jumpshooter. Missed the entire 1993-1994 season due to a knee injury.
SIGNIFICANT INFO: He was best known for his devastating crossover dribble. He reached 5,000 points and 2,500 assists faster than any other NBA player except Oscar Robertson.
