Name: Kenny Anderson Position: PG Number: 7 DOB: October 9, 1970 Drafted: First Round (2nd Pick) Age when drafted: 20 College: UCLA Hometown: Queens, New York Height: 6’0” Weight: 168 lbs
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRENGTHS: Heralded young PG who never quite was able to reach his vast potential. Anderson is a great passer (6.1 apg) who took care of the ball (Career 3:1 ass/to ratio). Lightning quick both of hands and feet allowed Anderson to average 1.5 steals a game in the NBA although he often times lost his focus defensively. A career.421/.346/.790 line illustrates his solid midrange game which expanded out over the 3pt line over time. WEAKNESSES: Wiry thin frame and a lack of strength mean less time getting into the lane and getting fouled than one would think (career 3.3 FTA/G). Not much of a rebounder even for a guard and he struggled defensively outside of steals. Never seemed to meet his vast potential and there were questions of maturity and alcohol issues at times.
SIGNIFICANT INFO: Nicknamed Mr. Chibbs. One time NBA All Star, 2 Time AP All American in 2 years of College. 54th All time in Assists, 49th All time in Steals per game. Played 14 seasons but only played 80+ games 3 times leading to some durability concerns. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
