This is 1/15 for 3/6/10. I like it both ways. Even.

LA wins, but only slightly.
I like Hakeem at that pick, too, and so while I get it for both sides (and as a team with a pile of former #3 and #4 picks, I know you don't NEED a #1) and while I think this draft has five or six all stars at the top, the drop off even THEN between 2 and 3 is too great. I'd give anything for Hakeem.
That's a trade offer, by the way, LA.

I voted even because I honestly think it was the right move for both teams. San Miguel is a team with nothing, they gather assetshere instead of just taking the 1st pick and trying to build around him until he leaves in 4 years. I already have a star, but even I know King wont be enough to win me a title, I need a superstar. Whomever I go with at 1 will be that superstar. Plus I kept Milans pick next year, so I still have 2 likely lottos next year. One of my original offers was 3, 6, Beijing for 1 and I dont love 10 so much this year that I was gonna let it keep me from getting the 1 pick. In a vaccuum would I do 10 for 15 and 33, probably not, but it was worth it to move up to the 1 spot to me.
Like Harlem mentioned, while there are a bunch of hall of famers in this class there is a large drop off between 2 and 3

I have this as a HUGE win for the Beermen. As we've seen there is no sure-fire prospect and I think there is a lot more value in having 3/6/10 than 1/15.
Eurasia gets stronger.

Personally, I love it for San Miguel but I can see LA's logic.
If anything, we've seen most teams that win championships have depth and I think LA misses a huge chance here to have 2 stars & a solid regular all on rookie deals. As much as I like Hakeem/MJ, the value in getting a combination of Ewing/Stockton/Price/Malone was far greater to building a championship contender.
I recently had 3/6/11 and got Gilmore @ 3 and JoJo @ 6, and that was a draft with less talent, so I feel that he's giving up a golden opportunity to get star level production from multiple spots.

See London I dont really understand your logic much. Its not like I gave up an already established star for the pick. I gave up more picks which have a lower chance of hitting than the #1 pick does. And maybe there are no sure things(which I disagree with), but Hakeem and MJ are both already good players so I think their chances of busting are much lower

I like it for San Miguel a tad more than I do for LA, I see why both teams have done it though. Makes real sense for San Miguel because although having Dream or MJ would be real nice this gives them alot more options and depth for a expansion team going forward especially in this draft.

I think I like this more for San Miguel because with the situation that team was in, he needed multiple pieces rather than just one guy. But I will say this, I think MJ and Hakeem are far ahead of the other top players barring a TC drop so I understand that part for LA. I think MJ/Hakeem are going to be MVP caliber guys early on while the other guys will take some time. I think the price was a little steep so ill go San Miguel by a bit but I think this is closer to even than I felt it was last night.

Cool, its your team. I just would rather be on the San Miguel side of this trade I totally understand, I personally love the trade for San miguel, I told him he needed multiple picks to build around. I just also like it a lot for me and would rather be in the situation i am now than the one i was in yesterday when I wasnt loving anyone from 3-6
