Would be vetoed if we had a trade committee.
Where's option for "league loses everytime a new gm comes in and gives away assets"

Oh man, San Miguel, you should've waited to see if I'd change my mind rather than do this. You just moved your only franchise piece for a pretty much a guaranteed 15th-17th pick in a great draft that sort of tapers off after the top 10. You could've traded Drazen for Xavier McDaniel on draft day, if that's who you were after. I get that you're trying to out-tank Indiana, but damn.

Tanking is never good. You fireburn your franchise to (maybe) help yourself by 1-2 picks.

I feel like SM GM needs to be a bit more patient, there were a few of us in the middle of negotiations and heard nothing back from him, others didn't even realize he was available etc. Hopefully it is a good lesson for him to slow down

Yeah he basically traded a good young talent for potentials a 0.5% increase in his chances at top 3 pick. Realistically he improved his odds for the top pick by maybe 5% by trading Drazen when he was firmly entrenched in the top 3 as it was and added a mid round first on top of it.

Let's maybe not call him a young GOOD talent yet. He's raw, and he's unproven, and there's just as much chance that he kind of sucks. I might not have given up as much, but let's not act like he just traded Magic Johnson for chump change.

Drazen is young and has potential to be like McDermott from a few years ago. I agree with Harlem that I don't think this is as bad as some are saying. It's not good but it's not the #8 pick for Mel Daniels bad.
