Yeah. I didn't mean worthy was nothing I was referring to the talk being nothing. To say he's looking like a superstar and that Oscar isn't worth a second is a bit extreme. No one called him a superstar. I said he looks like a future allstar, I've seen him with A inside potential in some scouts. But I don't think he'll ever be a top 10 player. Madrid however said Schmitt couldn't fetch a 2nd round pick, so I guess I'll go offer Roark a 2nd now. Just kidding, he dropped but he'll be OK and certainly worth more than a 2nd. Looking at him on the main page, he has B- inside, C+ rebounding, B- defense, and C jump shot, with 4 Bs in potential, one of those being free throw shooting. He's 22, which is nice, but if you look at his ratings objectively (forget where he was picked, his name, that he was traded for James Worthy, etc.), with the mindset that him being green/green might mean he's peaked, he doesn't look much, if any, better than guys who were picked in the late 1st round. And, of course, everyone values rookies higher than 2nd year players. I see he looks different with NY's scout and I'm sure it's different with other scouts, but on the main page, he looks pretty bad. He'll probably look a little better on the next update, and he's playing above his ratings, but he looks about the same as Spencer Haywood did 2 years ago.

Poor Spencer, he was good for me before I traded him to Berlin in my package for Imhoff. He was another victim of death by training camp.

Yeah TC can be brutal. We've seen that.
We have a lot more rookies who look good but a lot more guys falling off along the way.
Perhaps trading for 25-26 year olds is the sweet spot? Those guys are pretty locked in by then.
