Reggie Theus
SG | 6'7 | 193lbs | 21 Years Old
abcalegends.com/players/player158.htm
Pros: Reggie has great size for the guard position at 6'7 and is also a very good athlete. He has explosive quickness and good leaping abilities that help him attack the rim and get to the free throw line. Theus' biggest strength though is his passing and ball handling abilities, which allow him to play either guard position in the ABCA and at 6'7 he has the potential to cause match up nightmares for the opposition. He also comes into the league with solid perimeter defense with the potential to improve there, which alongside his quickness and length should mean he should be a good defender in the league.
Cons: Theus doesn't project to be an efficient scorer in the league. Although he is a decent scorer from inside and midrange, his 3-point shooting ability really lets him down. For someone of his size you would also expect a better rebounder, but he doesn't have any rebounding instincts. Also he doesn't project to pick up many steals, which is a little disappointing given his length and quickness.
Overall: Reggie Theus is an interesting guard prospect with the ability to play either spot and at 6'7 that could be a good asset for any team. But he will have to work on his scoring in order to really become an effective player in the league. After the first tier of players are off the board the draft opens up and there could be a big window of where he ends up.
Projection: 10-15
