Name: Maurice Cheeks Position: PG Height: 6'1" Weight: 180 lbs DOB: 9/8/1997 www.abcalegends.com/players/player135.htmPros: Maurice Cheeks comes into this year's draft as the premier pure PG of the class. Cheeks already comes into the league playing nearly elite defense with capable passing skills. In time, Cheeks projects to be an above average offensive weapon who might be the best passing/defending combination at point guard in the league. Not bad at all for someone who reasonably projects to slide all the way down to the 8-12 pick range. Cons: Cheeks is going to be very good at a lot of things, but three-point shooting will never be one of those things. For some GMs, a point guard who doesn't have that weapon in the arsenal to spread the floor is a deal breaker. Instead, Cheeks will hope to use his slashing attack and jumper inside the three point line to open things up...a risky proposition for a player of only 6'1". Overall: Mo Cheeks will come into the league with some questions about his outside game and his size, but that shouldn't stop a team in need a point guard from grabbing a player who clearly has a high ceiling when it comes to defense and passing. Cheeks is in that odd space in the 6-12 pick talent range where anything could happen, but I think due to where teams are currently projecting he is likely going to be a late lotto pick. Projection: #8-12

Maurice CheeksPG / 6'1" / 180 lbs / 9/8/1997www.abcalegends.com/players/player135.htmPros: Maurice Cheeks comes into the draft as a great defender with the potential to be a even better one aswell as great passing ability which makes him a ready now prospect and one of the best point guard prospects in the draft. Those two things will be Cheeks main strengths, however although his scoring ability is quite raw he has the potential to become a solid scorer at the next level. Cons: Three Point Shooting will be the worst aspect in Cheeks game, don't see him shooting many three's in his rookie season or improving his three point shot much during his career, his scoring will be more focused on jump shots and attacking the rim. At 6'1 he is a little undersized but don't see that being much of a problem. Overall: Maurice Cheeks is the best out and out point guard prospect (With Magic able to play anywhere) so a team looking for a point guard will be happy to Cheeks. Sure his lack of any kind of three point shot may put a few suitors off but his defensive ability and passing ability should more than make up for that. Its tough to say where he will end up anywhere between 7-14 would be my guess. Projection: 7-14
