Name: Gerald Henderson Position: PG/SG Number: 43 DOB: January 16, 1956 College: VCU Hometown: Richmond, Virginia Height: 6'2" Weight: 175 lbs --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STRENGTHS: Gerald Henderson was an excellent 2 way role player during his career. He has been compared with a modern undersized 2 guard in Avery Bradley, also a Celtics player, in terms of his defensive ability. Henderson also had good, but not elite passing skills. Although he didn't take that many 3 pointers, he hit them at a solid rate. WEAKNESSES: Henderson was a role player in the NBA, but a very good one. He mostly stayed on the perimeter and didn't add much in terms of inside scoring. He also turned the ball over fairly often. ADDITIONAL NOTES: What loyal Celtics fan could ever forget was Game 2 of the 1984 NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers when, on May 31, 1984, 'Gerald Henderson Stole The Ball!' screamed Johnny Most into his microphone. Henderson's steal and immediate lay-up with 0:13 seconds to go in regulation tied the contest at 113 apiece. The Lakers failed to get a shot off, the game goes into overtime and the Celtics even the series at one victory each and eventually capture championship banner #15. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ins 1.5 Jps 3.5 Fts 4 3Ps 3 Hnd 2 Pas 3 ORb 1 DRb 1.5 PsD 1.5 PrD 4.5 Stl 4.5 Blk 1.5 Qck 5 Str 1.5 Jmp 3 Sta 5
