STRENGTHS: Larry Smith's biggest strength was his rebounding, he was among the NBA’s top seven in rebounding five times over his first seven seasons in the NBA. He knew that he wasn't going to get many looks on the offensive end, so he worked hard on his rebounding and it was something he took pride in. He was particularly effective on the offensive glass. Ranking in the top 10 in offensive rebounds 8 times, including leading the league in the 85-86 season, and is currently ranked #16 in NBA history in offensive rebounds. WEAKNESSES: Larry's game was based around rebounding, defending and hustle, anything outside that you could say were his weaknesses. He wasn't much of a scorer, with the majority of his points coming off offensive rebounds, he was also a bad free throw shooter, shooting 53% for his career. SIGNIFICANT INFO: One of the NBA’s top rebounders in the 1980s, currently ranked #16 in NBA history in offensive rebounds. STATS:Ins - 2 |
