Name: Adrian Delano Dantley Position: SF Number: 4 DOB: 2/28/1956 College: University of Notre Dame Hometown: Washington, DC Height: 6'5" Weight: 208 lbs --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STRENGTHS: Dantley is one of the more efficient scorers in league history. For those who love efficiency stats, Dantley's 61.7% true shooting % is #5 in NBA history. He led the league in points 2 times and free throws made 5 times. He holds the record for more free throws made in a game with 28. He achieved his success inside the free throw line, using a combination of jump shots and post play that managed to draw more fouls than most centers will ever see. WEAKNESSES: One of the reasons Dantley's TS% was so high was he only attempted 41 3-pointers in his entire career...and made 7. Out of 15,121 shot, that's a fairly low percentage attempted, especially for a 6'5" wing. Dantley clearly was no long-range threat. Dantley was also a mediocre defender. ADDITIONAL NOTES: Dantley was a 6 time All-Star and was the Rookie of the Year in 1977. He was a Hall of Famer and an Olympic gold medal winner. Dantley was also a disruptive force on his own team's offense with a me-first mentality who played no defense and rubbed so many teammates the wrong way that virtually no one wanted to play with him. He is a better player on a stat sheet than he ever was on the court...which is great for a sim league. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ins 4 Jps 5 Fts 5 3Ps 1 Hnd 2 Pas 2 ORb 2 DRb 3 PsD 2 PrD 2 Stl 2 Blk 1 Qck 4 Str 4 Jmp 4 Sta 5
