BTW, some people seem confused on this.
Max raises for anyone WITHOUT Birds is 4.5%
Max raises for anyone WITH Birds is 7.5%
Max years for anyone WITHOUT Birds is 4 years.
Max years for anyone WITH Birds is 5 years. (Not sure if the game has the one-time rookie scale 5-year deal or not, but if a guy is NOT coming off his rookie deal he can be signed for 5 years with no worries.)
I've been getting a lot of 10-12% increases, not a big deal, but just know what you're bidding on.
IF YOU SEND BIDS IN VIA PM PLEASE LIST THEM ALPHABETICALLY BY LAST NAME
Old FBB went by first name, this one goes by last name. Thanks.

Sticky this. This is good info. It a lot harder to know all the rules when you dont have the game. You might also want to put the info up about soft cap/hard cap and they way it works with playes/coaches like I asked you. Its just some information thats not available on hand that could help GMs.

I also think some people should be aware that they can offer a player/team option as well.
I believe in the game if you want a 3 year deal with a team option you just select 4 years and team option. I don't know if people are even aware of this if they don't have the game.

BUMPED and MOVED because of Chicago's recent contract with Hayes.
This is in case anyone has any questions about contract raise maxes.

I'm sure this was already touched on at some point, but FYI, there are exactly 0 contracts in the NBA currently that increase or decrease ANY years by more than 7.5%

To the committee:
These are the contracts in the league which have raises or decreases by more than 7.5% in future years.
Elvin Hayes Hal Greer Tom Gola
For none of these contracts has the illegal year-to-year change yet taken effect (as John noted is the case with Hayes' deal)
I ask that if you void one of these player's contracts for future seasons, you void all 3. Alternatively, I ask that you grandfather these 3 contracts and put a rule going forward that this can no longer be done.
I am fine with either way, but if we're going to apply a rule, I hope we can be consistent.

Gola's salary this year should be: 11,459,999 with the final year being 10,919,999. Greer's salary is fine until year 3 when it should be: 9,655,050 with the option year being 9,200,100 Can't really do that with Hayes since who knows what he'd accept as it's too big a raise vs. too steep a drop.

I understand your thinking, but that would imply LA and myself to pay more than the original negotiated contracts? That doesn't seem like a good solution.

I think u void all 3 contracts now since they were illegal when signed that would make greer and gola fas unless there contracts were recently done this year in which case u void the final seasons just like hayes

Basketball has been part of the Olympic Games since 1936 (game inventor James Naismith was there as a guest). Regular world basketball championships for men have been held since 1950, among women - since 1953, and European championships - since 1935.
