Belgrade KK Partizan Trades =========================== Radivoj Korac Jeff Mullins Bob Hourbregs
Tokyo Sumarai ========================== Pawel Stok George Mikan Harry Gallatin
How is no one talking about this...Mikan finally has a new home. And its with the winner of the first Isiah Thomas GM Award! Thoughts?

No chance KK wins the Isaiah award this year (I might be in the front running though based on league responses to deals, lol). This is an absolute steal.
Korac to Mikan is worth dealing Mullins + some more. Korac's numbers are all on a bad team. Mikan can make the playoffs virtually on his own.
Then look, he gets a rebounding machine in Gallatin AND a PG who can penetrate and obviously works with Mikan (who happened to make the ASG as well...) for what? What does he give up for these players you ask? NOTHING!!
KK CRUSHES THIS ONE. Wonder what Prez thinks about it for his buddy. *sits back* GET YO POPCORN READY!!

This is a great deal for both.
Made too much sense to not happen.

I agree korac is a solid prospect to keep for a rebuild or he can deal for more youth stuff.. getting all three players gives kk a legit chance to compete too for the next few years until kien expires and kk has his own picks again.. win win for both

I honestly DIS-like it for both teams, so I put even trade. I don't think Tokyo got enough value for the trio they dealt, and I don't think KK did enough to get into the playoffs. Neither team dealt any picks, so there is no harm, no foul there. Maybe KK makes another deal or two to improve their position, but I think both teams miss the playoffs at this point, at which point Tokyo at least has some youth while KK just has some very old players.

KK gets to push for the playoffs without his picks and Tokyo starts his rebuild off right with Korac. Tokyo might have given a bit much but it's not easy dealing a 21 mil contract for value.

KK doesn't need to get into the playoffs, they just need to not be the #1 pick for 2 more years. I think Mikan helps them get a lot closer to the post-season and by the time he dies they can rebuild and he'll probably still have value. Korac on the other hand might never develop into anything and makes a lot. The upside for Tokyo is that at least he could develop into something and is young enough to use as a piece in rebuilding.

Good point...I keep forgetting KK doesn't have his own pick for the next two years. With that in mind, every move should be about acquiring talent and making those picks less and less valuable, even if he misses the playoffs. I still don't love that Tokyo couldn't get a single 1st for Mikan though...

He couldn't because KK doesn't have any. To be fair I offered him 3 firsts and Mirchev but I think he took the better deal.

Love this for KK.
How funny, everyone was lauding Brasil and laughing at KK not too long ago and boom, Brasil gives away Lenny and KK picks up Mikan.
Looks like someone upset they received the Isiah.

i would have also given up multiples for MIkan but its hard to argue if a guy would rather have a player to build around. win win in my opinion.

I don't know if I agree, that this gets KK out of being the worst team. He still needs more assetts and I doubt he has a lot of cap to grab anybody in fa. I don't see teams getting rid of guys like last year. Their still a very bad team. Value-wise, I think KK won. I understand why Tokyo did it, but he gave up too much.

I've got 9 mil in cap space, 3 good to great bigs, a good PG, and need to surround them with 3-and-D at SG/SF. I've put some bids up on high value players...I'd like to think my 'big 3' can win at least 27-30 games thus putting my away from being the worst team. Also, last I checked, you finished 1 game worse than me last year.

KK may just have erased that whole last season with this one trade.

Given the circumstances, very good trade for KK. His roster stills need a lot of work though, but it's possible.
