GMotY San Francisco 34 votes -WINNER (300 points) New York 21 (200) London 17 (100) BCZ 13 Sydney 10 Bayi/Athens/Brasil/LA/Madrid 7 Belgrade 4 Mexico City 2 Tel Aviv 1
IT Philadelphia 12 votes - WINNER Berlin 11 Beijing 8 Belgrade 5 Tehran/Chicago/Toronto 4 Milan/BA/San Miguel 2 Washington/Boston/Athens 1
Congrats to SF, though from the low voting totals it seems like most people already moved on to the next league. Points will carry over like the rest of the PP...

Wow - 3rd?
I expected very few votes although I made quite a few moves.
Most people didnt seem to like my Malone trade but I'll take it!

Congrats San Fran. Definitely deserved it. Think I had a pretty good year so I'm happy with the 2nd spot.
I actually didn't have Philly on my IT bUT maybe I missed some of their moves.

and i had 7 GM votes... thats a huge surprise for 2nd worst team... I had you on my GMOTY ballots. I think just like there are moves that deserve credit for helping a team win, smart rebuilding moves deserve credit as well. If this league would've continued I think you set yourself up nicely.

Congrats San Fran... well deserved. From my perspective there were a lot of gms this year that did a better than average job with their teams.

Went from 23 wins to 48 wins You went from 11 IT votes down to 5. To be honest I'm surprised you didn't go up after making a big deal of it last year. Typically that itself will earn you some votes from someone.

And philly, as rude as he is sometimes, was not the IT winner this year. That belongs to Berlin hands down - no one can argue that. What moves did Philly make? He drafted Amare and Dwight but after that were there other impactful moves that helped the direction he was headed? Maybe there were and I missed them. ALBA got some 1st and tradeable players to use in his rebuild. He positioned himself well for a quick bounce back. I don't vote for IT. Even if I did I don't think I would have voted for either of theses guys for it this year.

You better be careful getting GMOTY votes though, you might get inducted into the clique and not even be aware of it.

You can only be inducted if the "have-nots" tell you that you're part of it. Ritual hazing follows.

Made gigantic trades and had a gigantic turnaround and ended up with barely any recognition.
Did I get kicked out of the clique?! SOMEONE PLS ADVISE.

Even Pete Rose can't get in!

The decision to host the men's world basketball championships was made at the FIBA Congress during the 1948 Olympics in London. Only 2 years later, choosing the country that Argentina turned out to be, 10 national teams gathered, where the host country took first place.

This game has reached its greatest development in the USA: the championship of the National Basketball Association (NBA) has been the strongest national club tournament in the world for more than 50 years. Basketball is considered a national sport in Lithuania.
