It's clear that people are in favour of keeping letter grading, as am I. It gives some ambiguity, especially at lower grades (the lower the grade the larger the range). I think this is realistic.
What does everyone think about scouting?
Would you be in favour of having everyone see the same letter grades? It would be the accurate letter grade.
Or do you like having different scouts report different letter grades, some of which are inaccurate?

Or do you like having different scouts report different letter grades, some of which are inaccurate? For the same reasons I posted in the number system thread I'm not a fan. The varying scouts and their degree of accuracy (or inaccuracy) are some of the fun of this game. Also generally speaking simulations aim to simulate real life (I'm aware that's blasphemous in a league that crosses the time/space continuum) but having scouts with differing opinions adds to the intrigue. For instance what did Cleveland's scouts see in Anthony Bennett when they took him 1st overall? I'd like to leave this as is.

I heart scouting... dealing with it for the creation draft is another story though.

Looks like most people like the scouting. I'm not sure I understand that but I like the conversation.
I'm talking about the accuracy of information, not how decisions are made. You don't need different information to have different decisions being made. Decisions will be made differently amongst different people even if they have the same information.
Everyone SAW the same thing when they watched Bennett play, the Cavs just thought about it differently. That's the process a sim league should replicate. Unfortunately with inaccurate ratings being shown, it's as if people are watching the same thing but seeing different things. If that happened with the Cavs, that's more of a case of schizophrenia then it is decision making.
Also, the reality is that people post screenshots all the time. Some people even share passwords. So some people are privy to more information than others. It's just cleaner to me to have it all be accurate and let the managers decide based on what they like in their players.
Doesn't look like it'll go that way so I'll have to put up with schizophrenic scouts seeing different things.

Love scouting and wouldn't change it. Thank you. The system we have in Legends is the best.

Love scouting and wouldn't change it. Thank you. The system we have in Legends is the best. I completely agree. However, for the creation draft, I think it would be in the best interest of the league for everyone to have the ability to see the players through a top scout. From my understanding, we cannot hire new scouts pre-draft so we have no choice if we have a D C+ scout and that doesn't benefit the GM or the league as a whole. Just a thought.

I doubt youd get a scout that bad.. and if he is youll have to make due and adjust. Sure every team typically sees the same tape, how each scout sees that same tape or work out varies thats the joy of scouts.

I voted for accurate ratings, because i don't have the game. Levels the playing field some.
Also, I'd buy the game if it ran on a Mac.
