Name: Chris Wilcox Position: PF/C Number: 54 DOB: September 3, 1982 Age when Drafted: 20 (8th overall) College: Maryland Hometown: Whiteville, North Carolina Height: 6'10" Weight: 235lbs STRENGTHS: Wilcox was highly touted coming into the NBA due to his raw athleticism. For a 6’10” guy, he could run the fast break and jump out of the building. Regularly threw down massive dunks over less athletic post defenders. Was a treat to watch every night. WEAKNESSES: Outside of his athleticism, Wilcox didn’t have much going for him. Very efficient offensively but never developed a dominant post game (averaged more than 10 points per game only twice), was mediocre on the defensive end and was a poor shot blocker (career 0.7 blocks per 36 mins). Below average rebounder for his position (career 8.9 rebounds per 36 mins) but was stronger on the offensive glass.
