Guess who took a selfie early this morning weighing 243lbs at 6' tall...this guy! Worked out hard, ate modestly clean foods, did some cardio but mostly took Ephederine/Caffeine to cut, and did not take a single supplement. Obviously, someone will say I'm "lying" about weight, but the picture doesn't do any justice to how massive I really am IRL. I'm probably 1.5x as wide as most people. Not anywhere near as shredded as I'd like, but I've got the next month or two to get to a better place. This picture was hard as hell to take. I set the timer to 3s on iPhone and my hands were shaking trying to both flex AND hold camera still. cray

Nice work Detroit. I'm surprised you are at 243 at 6'0 (I know you mentioned the difference in the picture). I am at 200lbs at 6'0 (on a clean bulk) and still look abnormal in public. You must hold the weight really well.

You must hold the weight really well. Thanks bud. I like to think I hold the weight well, yeah. A lot of upper body mass goes to shoulders (and traps, which isn't visible here). There's a guy who played college football at Univ. of Illinois (early 2000's) and pro football for Tampa Bay (I think) and another team. Retired after like 3 seasons. Looks Asian to me (not Samoan), weighs ~290lbs at 6'5"-ish...thought I was trolling about weight when we first met. Couldn't believe scale when we measured. However, compared to the average Joe, the width/thickness is seriously noticeable. Dude, anything over 180lbs @ 6' while being LEAN towers over people considerably, man. My friends put on ~45lbs over past 2 years (one at 5'6" and other at 6') and both weight 180lbs now. The 5'6" is marbles, has granite shoulders but some bad insertion points which *kind of* hinder his physique (if you're a gay, old judge), but gets A LOT of attention walking the streets. The 6' guy definite looks like he lifts, too, but he's got to put on another 20-30lbs to look huge due to his long AF limbs. As for the clean bulk...eh, good luck. Not something I recommend unless you're blasting you-know-what because the journey takes forever. When bulking, I set a goal and the minute I hit that weight, no more eating junk. Then I try to 'recompose' at that weight. When you say clean, you mean the whole veggies/potatoes/meat schtick or do you treat yourself occasionally? Proof

Yea, I was dirty bulking for a while just trying to get in enough protein. So now I am cleaning it up a bit to put everything together and no not to the point of potatoes and meat just not eating ice cream and oreos etc. haha. Really difficult to get in enough calories with a clean bulk.

Really difficult to get in enough calories with a clean bulk. Someone mention Oreo's and Ice Cream (well, Gelato) Some of my 'snacks' for post-tennis and workout. I've also got 5 of those "Talent"-brand Gelato containers ($7 at Sam's Club). I'm convinced, about 95%, that by doing Intermittent Fasting you can get away with eating ANYTHING as long as you maintain shortened eating periods. But, maybe it's a case-by-case basis? EDIT: 4 cans of Mt. Dew 16oz, a 2L Ginger Ale, like 12 Gatorade's, some potato chips, and some 'salty' snacks are also in my cabinet. EDIT2: Whenever I go to CVS/Walgreen's, I'm always finding 16oz sodas on sale. Not sure why, but it always makes my day haha.

Haha, I love it. I've never tried Gelato. Yea I was intermittent fasting until a few months ago when it was getting really difficult to get the calories in. Intermittent fasting is the most successful diet I have been on, had great results with it. Will be going back on that in a couple weeks. How much protein you try to get in per day?

i'd post one but my pic would probably get changed to casey anthony somehow.
also, why is intermittent fasting good? it sounds conflicting to the idea of having meals every 2-3 hours.

Sorry, akstotle, but I've seen pictures of you (thanks Toronto!) and you don't have much potential. Stick to Mountain Dew and Cheetos!

Tell me more about intermittent fasting on slack that would work well for me as I am just starting to really go clean Hey San Fran. Basically it entails not consuming any calories for a lengthy period of time with a small window to get all your calories in. Most common method is to not eat for 16 hours and have an eight hour window to eat. It should revolve around your workouts because you should be consuming calories after a workout (doesn't have to be right away like the magazines will tell you). Just to give you an example if you workout at 3 PM you should have an eating window from 4 PM-midnight and be in the fasting stage from 12 AM to 4 PM. This diet will eliminate that lower stomach fat and love handles which are typically the last to go (and most difficult) for men. Let me know if you have questions, by far the diet that has worked best for me. Haha, I love it. I've never tried Gelato. Yea I was intermittent fasting until a few months ago when it was getting really difficult to get the calories in. You must hold the weight really well. I'm finishing up a 4 week oral cycle as we speak (couple days left of Halodrol/Hexadrone). Increased my bench press to 3 sets of 5 reps of 315lbs, but got up to 258lbs and the weight started going to my legs instead of back/chest/shoulders and instead of wearing size 32 jeans, I'm barely squeezing into 36. FML, but the good news is I just weighed in at 249lbs a few minutes ago. Thank God for caffeine, colon cleansers and HIIT cardio 2x daily!

I work out 4-5 times a week between boxing and lifting, and I just can never match input with the output. But you guys are serious about this stuff. I end up doing too much cross-training to put on this kind of weight. Big props to you dude. I was surprised when you said 240+, but it's hard to tell without perspective sometimes.

Also you look way too big to be doing that girly ass pose in the mirror. It made me giggle though.

Also you look way too big to be doing that girly ass pose in the mirror. It made me giggle though. "Like I said...You have the lower body and you have no upper body, you got a problem building...wait a minute. You have the upper body, and you have no legs, you got a problem building your legs. You have the upper...you have the lower body and you don't have the upper body, the upper body, it is easier to build. So if you have the lower body and you don't have the upper body, it is easier to build the upper body. You have the upper body and you don't have the legs, you got a problem building the lower body... No, you don't understand. You have the upper body, but you don't have the lower body, you got a problem building downstairs. You got the up- legs on the bottom, it is easier to build on the top, so you don't have much as a problem. Yeah."

It's a bit hard here to find the kind of heavy meals that you guys eat back home. My kitchen is limited to say the least, so cooking big meals is a pretty much out.

Hypothetically, if I was in such a position and saw my gains stagnate despite trying various periodization techniques, switching up my routines, resting appropriately, and eating healthy well-balanced meals... I'd run a short blast. However, before doing so, I'd run a female hormone panel at a private MDs office to make sure my test levels are normal, my liver enzymes are OK, and I'm not at increased risk of high blood pressure. I'd also make sure to ask my MD about risk of jaundice. If I was given the A-OK regarding my health, I'd accumulate all my supplements before hand because I'd want to make sure I could PCT if my gear was bad or I had adverse reactions rather than waiting 2+ weeks for shipments from Canada of prescription based drugs typically used for breast cancer treatment. I'd know to cut out all alcoholic beverages for those 4+ weeks, stay away from junk foods and realize that I'd have to manage my aggressiveness especially around others with a solid supplement like St. John's Wort. This is all hypothetically speaking of course! EDIT: I frequently troll my physique competitor friend about joining a natural physique competition alongside him since I'm "natural" and don't view testosterone as "unnatural" since it's produce in the body naturally.
