With his addition the team is 4 stars in all coaching ratings and a good staff overall.

Draft
7/1/2026 Aoshen Draft PG Allen Iverson with pick #3 of round 1.
7/1/2026 Aoshen Draft C Zydrunas Ilgauskas with pick #13 of round 1.
7/1/2026 Aoshen Draft PF Zach Randolph with pick #14 of round 1.
7/1/2026 Aoshen Draft SG Jamal Crawford with pick #24 of round 1.
Obviously all discussion about the team’s draft will be highlighted by the team’s new starting PG, Allen Iverson, the lightning quick guard who some think might be pound for pound the toughest player in the game and he uses that toughness to score. He will need to be ready to go for the team to make the playoff push it is envisioning. The team also added two more late lotto picks in C Zydrunas Ilgauskas and PF Zach Randolph. To get the picks, the team traded SG Ray Allen. Jamal Crawford was picked and then traded later in the first round. The team added talent via the draft and by trading talent it got in the draft.
Free Agency
7/17/2026 Aoshen Sign SF Rick Barry for $62,700,000 over 3 years.
7/20/2026 Aoshen Re-sign C Bob Lanier for $45,150,000 over 3 years.
7/22/2026 Aoshen Sign SG Robert Mifka for $1,110,000 over one year.
7/24/2026 Aoshen Re-sign SG Mike McGee for $846,000 over one year.
7/26/2026 Aoshen Sign SF Joe Ellis for $1,428,000 over one year.
7/27/2026 Aoshen Sign SF Ron Anderson for $666,000 over one year.
7/27/2026 Aoshen Sign PF Tom Boswell for $930,000 over one year.
7/27/2026 Aoshen Sign C Otto Moore for $1,380,000 over one year.
This is all about the re-signing of Bob Lanier that gives the team a proven quality bigman downlow and veteran SF Rick Barry. Barry may be starting to show signs of decline, but he still put up 16 6 and 4 last year and has elite skills. Outside of that the signings were minimum signings to fill out the roster and none of them look like major contributors.
Trade
Trade 1
6/25/2026 Aoshen Trade SF Jim Paxson to the ALBA
6/25/2026 ALBA Trade PF Dave Cowens to the Aoshen
6/25/2026 ALBA Trade SF Eric Beugnot to the Aoshen
The team move the skilled but expensive Jim Paxson for a pair of forwards and Eric Beugnot and Dave Cowens. This was the prelude for a series of other deals the team would be making as the off season progressed.
Trade 2
6/25/2026 Bulls Trade 2026 Bulls 1st Round draft pick to the Aoshen
6/25/2026 Bulls Trade 2026 Franca BC 1st Round draft pick to the Aoshen
6/25/2026 Aoshen Trade SG Ray Allen to the Bulls
Allen was shipped out for what became Big Z and Z-Bo. An interesting move that was necessitated by the drafting of Allen Iverson who looks to be teaming with Penny Hardaway as the backcourt for the forseeable future. While some throughout the league thought the team sold low on Ray, the move made sense for Aoshen, which clearly had a plan it was executing.
Trade 3
7/1/2026 Aoshen Trade PG Scott Skiles to the Globetrotters
7/1/2026 Aoshen Trade SF Eric Beugnot to the Globetrotters
7/1/2026 Globetrotters Trade PF Kresimir Cosic to the Aoshen
Armed with too many perimeter players and needing post players the team traded a young PG in Skiles and the recently added Eric Beugnot to Harlme for PF Kresimir Cosic. A good move for a team that was clearly looking to fill needs.
Trade 4
7/1/2026 Aoshen Trade SG Jamal Crawford to the 76ers
7/1/2026 76ers Trade SF Cedric Ceballos to the Aoshen
7/1/2026 76ers Trade PG Michael Adams to the Aoshen
A simple trading down in the draft to pick up more assets. Not a huge difference maker either way.
Trade 5
7/21/2026 Aoshen Trade SF Jerry Stackhouse to the Lakers
7/21/2026 Aoshen Trade PF Zach Randolph to the Lakers
7/21/2026 Aoshen Trade PF Kresimir Cosic to the Lakers
7/21/2026 Lakers Trade PF Mychal Thompson to the Aoshen
The big one right here, the team had been wanting to upgrade in the post and packaged a solid veteran post in Cosic with two young talents in Z-Bo and Stackhouse to land a very talented player in Michael Thompson who can do it all. It will be interesting to see how he does outside of the shadow of the Dream, Hakeem Olajuwon.
Trade 6
7/25/2026 Aoshen Trade SG Robert Mifka to the Raptors
7/25/2026 Knicks Trade SF Terry Furlow to the Aoshen
7/25/2026 Aoshen Trade PF Loy Vaught to the Knicks
7/25/2026 Aoshen Trade SF Cedric Ceballos to the Knicks
7/25/2026 Aoshen Trade 2029 Aoshen 1st Round draft pick to the Knicks
A three team deal that sees Beijing add a former DPOY in Terry Furlow who should slot in nicely as a 6th man for the team or possibly even start and push Rick Barry to the bench.
Pre TC Lineup
C Bob Lanier
PF Mychal Thompson
SF Rick Barry
SG Penny Hardaway
PG Allen Iverson
6th Terry Furlow
7th Zydrunas Ilgauskas
8th?
TC outlook and questions.
The team needs it’s young core players of Iverson and Penny to have good TC’s. A solid TC from rookie big man Ilgauskas would help the team with depth downlow. Among the veterans, the team needs guys like Rick Barry to hold onto their skills and athletic ability in order to make the next step and return to the playoffs. As is the team could has a very strong defense and is strong through the first 7 players in it's rotation. However, after that it gets a bit dicey and the team could use some help, specifically at backup PG and with some additional depth in the front court unless Big Z needs another year. If they can address those needs they sure do look like a playoff team.
