Name: Dejan Bodiroga Position: SF Number: 10 DOB: 2nd March 1973 Age when drafted: - Hometown: Klek Country: Serbia Height: 6'9 Weight: 243 lbs |
STRENGTHS: Bodiroga was one of the best European players throughout his career. First noticed by Kresimir Cosic at the age of 17, his career quickly took off. A very versatile player, being able to play multiple positions due to his size and handling ability, he could play power forward down to the guard positions. Playing the point forward role though was his main position. An unselfish player, looked to get his teammates involved but was a good scorer himself, particularly with his midrange game and from beyond the arc, he loved to take crucial shots. Also a good rebounder, mainly on the defensive end.
WEAKNESSES: A highly skilled player with not many big weaknesses in his game, but he wasn't a great athlete, good speed and strength for the position, but not an elite athlete like some of the other members of this draft class. A good defender out on the perimeter but not a lock down one.
