I heard about it late last night.
Not sure I have anything worthwhile to add to the outpour from folks already but losing him hit me a little bit. Sad day for a guy who a lot of us grew up watching. He was my favorite ESPN anchor and I'm sure many of you feel the same way.

Yeah agree. Like I said in the Skype Chat, I could relate to the way he spoke. How he didn't hide himself on TV. It was great. Loved it.
Best part is hearing how great of a man he was outside of it. Sad to see such a man go.

He was the man, Rich Eisen was perfect in his tribute, so sad. RIP to a legend i cried a little to myself when i heard yesterday morning... then i really cried seeing Eisen struggle to keep from breaking down

Very sad loss of human life, although I was never a fan of him outside of when he went to NFL coverage. Hated him on Sportscenter but it's never good to see someone die young. RIP

He fought cancer for a lot of years but somehow stayed upbeat and 'there' for those around him. Absolutely loved his contributions to the "I Love the 80's" series which showed another side of him. Rest in peace.
