Name: Vin Baker Position: PF/C Number: 42 DOB: Born: November 23rd, 1971 Age when drafted: 22 (1993) College: Hartford Hometown: Lake Wales, FL Height: 6'11 Weight: 232 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STRENGTHS: Vin Baker was a very successful big early on the league until he let the alcoholism get the better of him. Racking up 4 allstar apperances early on, he quickly fell out of favor after leaving Milwaukee. He averaged about 19 ppg and 9.5 boards in those first 4 seasons, which turned out to be his best. Baker was a monster on the offensive glass, and excellent at finishing at the rim. He was capable of blocking shots but that wasn't a big strength. WEAKNESSES: Baker struggled on the defensive glass, which made him an average rebounder overall. He shot well under 35% outside of 3 feet from the basket so he had little jumpshot to speak of. He was a bit turnover prone and didn't earn many assists or steals, as his main bread and butter was scoring SIGNIFICANT INFO: 4x NBA Allstar, Alcoholism ruined his career --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1-5 rate the following for each category (half points can be given Ins: 4.5 Jps: 1.5 Fts: 2.5 3Ps: 1.0 Hnd: 2.0 Pas: 1.5 ORb: 5.0 DRb: 3.0 PsD: 3.5 PrD: 1.0 Stl: 2.0 Blk: 3.0 Qck: 3.0 Str: 4.5 Jmp: 3.0 St: 4.0
